built two things that I think matter for the agentic economy on Arc. let me explain:
The x402 Facilitator
Conduit is the first public x402 facilitator on Arc Network.
x402 is an HTTP-native payment protocol. Any API can return a 402 Payment Required response instead of a 401 Unauthorized.
AI agents see the 402, pay in USDC automatically, and retry. The whole thing happens in under a second with zero human involvement.
Conduit handles the verify and settle - checking the payment signature on-chain and submitting the USDC transfer on Arc.
The @ace_won/x402 npm package
npm install @ace_won/x402
One line wraps any Next.js route behind a USDC payment gate:
export const GET = withPayment({ amount: "0.001" }, handler);
Humans get a MetaMask pay page. Agents get raw 402 JSON. Both paths verified and settled on Arc.
The x402 API Marketplace
Now any developer can list their x402-gated API on Conduit's marketplace.
Set a price. Submit. Get approved. Start earning USDC per request from AI agents and developers worldwide.
Buyers browse by category, see the price, click Try It, and pay directly from the listing page.
No subscriptions. No API keys. No billing accounts. Payment is the key.
Conduit sits in the middle - routing every payment on Arc, taking 0.5%.
This is what payment infrastructure for the agentic economy looks like.
