@USGeocaching A10. 1 is the most important. 2 will or should just happen. 3 will happen if you did #1 right. #USGeocachingHour

Q10: To end the night, a Q from April 2019: If you're a cache owner, what's your favorite part about being a CO? How important is: 1) Finding the Perfect Location/Hide, 2) Waiting for the FTF or 3) Earning favorite points?. #USGeocachingHour
English
@USGeocaching A9. 7-8 feet. Good thing I have long arms. 😄

Q9: Tomorrow is National Reach High As You Can Day.
How high does a cache have to be before you need some sort of special equipment or help to feel comfortable reaching it?

@USGeocaching A8. I have fond memories of events on the winter solstice, so that. #USGeocachingHour

Q8: Not long ago was Pi Day and Spring Equinox. We are into CITO season 1. Blue Switch Day, May the 4th Be With You, and more are coming soon.
What annual days that cachers like to celebrate do you look forward to?

@USGeocaching A7. About 20%. Maybe less. A TB made it to the space station, so, it’s not like cache-space travel is “new”. #USGeocachingHour 👨🚀

Q7: Last week a lot of people were following Artemis II as it returned safely to earth. It is planned for members of Artemis IV in a few year’s time to return to the moon’s surface.
What do you think the chances are one of them will take a Travel Bug with them?

@USGeocaching A6. Love the hidden plain in sight caches. The others I like too, but it screams creativity that something can be right in front of you and the world and you do not know it’s there. #USGeocachingHour
English

Q6: This or that: Which would you prefer to find & why?
- A 3D printed container
- a field puzzle you need to solve to open
- a “hidden in plain sight” creative hide

@USGeocaching A5. I’ve seen a few. It seems like they used to be more common, but Groundspeak got more strict at one point. #USGeocachingHour

Q5: One thing Islander likes to sometimes do with his hides is have themed GC numbers. His upcoming Maker Magic event is gcbMAKR (he also has gcbMAKE saved for the future). How often have you seen caches/events with themed GC numbers?

@USGeocaching A3. 🚂 I am going out on a limb and saying a 3D printer because of its versatility. #USGeocachingHour

Q3: If you could buy one piece of equipment to expand your ability to make creative cache containers, what would it be and why?

@USGeocaching A2. The 3D printers are becoming impressive; I have seen a number of 3D printed containers. #USGeocachingHour

Q2: Maker Magic is now under way, and as things like 3D printers, CNC machines, etc. become more affordable, new doors open for cache making. What types of tools have you seen used (or used yourself) to make a creative hide?

@USGeocaching A1. Hi! I’m _c3_ in north central North Carolina. I may have to check… I discovered an event a mere 25 miles away over the weekend, while it was happening! 😖

Q1: Who’s here tonight, and from where? And an ice breaker question: now that the deadline for submitting Maker Magic events is past, are there any happening in your area? #USGeocachingHour

@POrfalea Wish there was a 24 hour copy center near me right now. I’d be happy with even a 40 minute drive to Chapel Hill.
Greetings from NC!

And here are the kids all grown up, singing the same song with all grown up words . (Not really, JK.)

How did I miss this video from what, 10 or more years ago?
I guess it’s about the downtown playground.

Thanks for joining this "cruise control" #USGeocachingHour chat. It's @__MIKEYMAC__ signing off - see you all next week!

@USGeocaching A9. This is a repeat question, as last time I said Teddy Roosevelt. This time, I will choose a particular family member that went with me ironically on some of my NC county challenge trips. Tom Hanks or @MoRocca might be interesting caching companions as well. #USGeocachingHour

Last question of the night: If you could take any person with you caching, living or dead, who would it be, and why? #USGeocachingHour
English
@USGeocaching A8. Oddly, nothing really all that new on the horizon for this year, though a return to find a physical in Michigan is possible. 😮 Next year… could include a new country or countries? 😬 🫣
Still hoping for Kansas soon…

With summer on the horizon, I'm trying to decide where to go caching next. I'm thinking a new country is in order, but I haven't decided yet. Where's the next new place you'll go caching? Is a visit to a new state or new country on your horizon? #USGeocachingHour
English
@USGeocaching A7. Burned out on calendar challenges after I nearly made it to 3 years. Now, still working on D/T combos and other state challenges. Also finding a cache in every state. #USGeocachingHour
English

One of the things folks are "working on" in my area are "calendar challenges". They are trying to fill their 366 calendar with cache type (trad, multi, mystery), and also by sizes. Are you working on any particular geocaching-related goals right now? #USGeocachingHour
