@ABQRAW @cabq @abqfire @pulsepoint Don't get me started. I've been listening to public service radio transmissions for 50+ years as a hobby. When APD and AFD encrypted their signals, my investment of thousands of dollars I put into my radio gear turned into a pile of useless electronics. Transparency my a$$.

Take a look back & take a ride with Captain Otero on his final shift with AFR. Captain Otero was truly a master of the craft & will leave as a legend. Hear his farewell dispatch & some thoughts on 25 years in the fire service. Enjoy your retirement Captain. #abqfirerescue

AFR Chief Emily Jaramillo had a plan to improve response by changing how resources are dispatched - but @cabq City Councilors quashed that plan in a 7-2 vote. This week on #NewMexicoNewsInsiders w/ @ChrisMcKeeTV & @gburkNM why the chief thinks this is problematic. @abqfire

The IOAD theme for 2023 is “Recognizing those people who go unseen,” in honor of those whose lives have been altered by overdose. AFR is dedicated to helping reduce overdose incidents in our community with the leave behind Narcan kits and educating the public on prevention.
