“plenty of idols have personal ambitions too.” yes, and many of those idols were given the freedom to pursue those ambitions while still being in their groups. the company itself made it clear that they weren’t willing to take that route, so comparing these situations as if they’re identical makes no sense when the circumstances and options available weren’t the same.
and selfish? to whom, exactly? heeseung doesn’t owe anyone the sacrifice of his own dreams. the selfish thing would be expecting him to put his aspirations aside forever just because other people have decided they need him in a role he no longer wants for himself. a person choosing growth, fulfillment, and a path that aligns with their goals isn’t selfish, expecting them to give that up for your or anyone’s sake is.
