@andsjam

They promised us the new normal but instead gave us Keir Starmer! Utterly confused how Britain became antisemitic and how we forgot decency and fair play.

“Why the gigantic effort to destroy the Jews? Where does antisemitism REALLY come from? All the explanations you've heard over the years are dead wrong. "Scapegoats." "People are jealous." "Jews are just too different." All wrong. Remember where the Law of Moses comes from. what was its political context? It was a slave revolt. The Israelites were slaves of Pharaoh, and with G-d's help, led by Moses. they organised a revolt. They escaped to freedom in the Sinai Desert. Once free, they received from G-d a new law, the law of the escaped slaves. This was a law designed to end oppression. Its influence over 30 centuries transformed the most cruel, repressive, and unequal societies on earth, the ancient Greco-Roman world, into the most humane and democratic ones the world has ever known. Those ancient societies were psychopathic. They found pleasure in watching human beings torn apart by lions as entertainment. The Jews transformed those societies, the worst the world had seen, into the best we have ever had: the modern democratic Western societies. How do people who want to make us slaves feel about the Jewish movement? They hate it. They tell us that the ancient Greeks and Romans "taught us democracy." False. A census from the Athenian Empire in the late 4th century BCE recorded 21,000 citizens, 10,000 medics (semi-free residents. half-slaves). and 400,000 slaves. That was not a democracy. It was a slave society. And they were incredibly cruel. The Greeks had death camps, the mines south of Athens, where tens of thousands of slaves were forced underground again and again until they dropped dead. Those were the Greeks. Throughout history, those who wanted to enslave societies have always recognized the Jewish movement as their enemy, because the Jews taught the West that we can be free. and they gave us a system of ethics and law that helps us fight oppression. Modern democracy does not come from the Greeks. It comes from Leviticus 19:18. which Rabbi Hillel the Elder, in the first century BCE, identified as the principle from which the entire Torah and halakha flow: "You shall love your neighbour as yourself." Once you accept that you must love your neighbor as yourself, all of modern Western political thought follows. because that principle demands that we all be equal under the law, that we all have political representation, and that we all have equal access to the courts. That is the foundation of modern democracy. The Greeks, by contrast, believed they were a superior people and that "barbarians" were born to be enslaved. That was their political theory, they were fundamental racists. The reason October 7th happened, the reason the holocaust happened, is that those who wish to enslave societies understand that the Jewish movement stands between the freedom of the West and slavery. The day Westerners understand that fighting antisemitism is the same thing as self-defense, everything will change. Because the fight against antisemitism is the fight for freedom.” - Francisco Gil White Thank you @Stephen71290801

Well that requires a conversation with Britanica since it doesn't make sense. In the academic study of the Bible, that period is known as the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. Palestine isn't mentioned since that is a much later term. I'm going to bookmark this to find out how I can drop them a comment for this bit of anachronism. As one who's spent far too many years doing academic theology, that's more than annoying!

You may find 'The Builder's stone' interesting by Melanie Phillips. She talks a lot about this. It is good to be reminded that much of Jewish thought & the Bible is in the context of a slave revolt and how to build a better society. Also the idea of Kingship was revolutionary, in that it had to have public consent. That will have been a big element in the formation of our political framework. I would add in though that the West owes most to Christianity in the formation of the western mind. Such as raising the status of women by requiring men to be monogamous and to love their wife. With the overlay of Christian ethics, it would ultimately lead to democracy and universal rights. Christianity took the bedrock of Jewish thought and overlaid it Christian universalism. It took the particular of Judaism and applied it universally, with some unique twists. It's one of the reasons they are trying to destroy the Jews Destroying the Jews serves multiple purposes. Not only, as you said, it enables brutish authoritarian tribalism to return. But since Judaism is the bedrock and foundation of Christianity and Christianity is the foundation stone of the West, by eliminating the Jews they get the double whammy they are looking for - the West and the Jews. The greatest self-inflicted harm that our ancient Christian fathers did was forgetting our Jewish origins. That origin would have dire consequences, ultimately to 6 million murdered and the chaos we see in London today. It's good to be reminded what Jewish thought and the Jewish people gave to the world.

@NorfolkHeritage @ShahrarAli Ah the old "I'm not antisemitic, I'm just anti-zionist'! It's odd how Israel is the only nation that doesn't have the right to exist, nothing to do with it being 80% Jewish!

You again another bad loser full of bile - The Green Party dislikes Jews so much they overwhelmingly voted in Zack, a Jewish man, as their leader! This antisemitism scam does not work any more. This is anti Zionism not anti Jew. This is anti Genocide and land theft not antisemitism.

The Daily Mail has spoken to three members of Mr Polanski’s extended family – none of whom now talk to him. ‘He’s currently the leader of the future Islamic party of Britain, that’s what the Green Party is fast becoming,’ said one. ‘And there would be no place for Jews in an Islamic state of Britain.’ But family members have described their shock at how the former actor and hypnotist has become leader of a party expressing hatred for Israel. ‘If the Zionism-is-racism motion is passed it will make the Greens the most anti-Semitic party in British history since Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists,’ said a second relation. ‘The idea of it is one of the most sickening things I’ve heard in a long time.’ A third family member said: ‘The mad thing is that he’s gay, he’s Jewish but he’s cosying up to people whose ideology is the complete antithesis of everything that he’s supposed to stand for. It’s like he’s a chicken, telling us to vote for KFC.’ dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

I think we may be on the same page, esp with the blackness of the state of the UK. It's often difficult to see the Victory of Christ when we see chaos and evil triumphing. I was mainly thinking of some who almost desire the pre-tribulation rapture to be how it'll happen. They may be correct, but in case the theological interpretation is wrong, I think of my kids, getting to my age and having their rights taken away in a sharia-compliant Britain. Seeing the bleakness often makes it difficult to see any hope, even the return of Jesus. I guess that's what they mean by 'the black pill.' Anyway, tomorrow is Sunday, and those bemoaning the supposed demise of Christianity, you have the opportunity to go tomorrow. Find a church that seems living, caring and talks about Jesus. Also, for anyone else seeing this thread, the above conversation is about a theological interpretation on an aspect of Christianity. It's not the core idea of Christianity, which is God loved us so much, He became one of us to lead us back to Himself.

@andsjam @benonwine I dont disagree one bit. Regardless of what interpretations or beliefs we adhere to we must still strive for a just and righteous society. Considering our current predicament in the UK im just not in denial about the potential cost of restoring the country to its former glory.

I used to be a premillenialist, I'm no longer convinced about the various interpretations. Jesus will return, but I don't think we can bank on the more lurid interpretations of the end times. That means we still have to strive to save the nation and not sit passively, hoping that the chaos we see is indeed a fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

@benonwine We are very close to the last days now. Many of us will perish contending for the faith as it is pushed aside. Our deaths will compel the unbelievers to give themselves to Christ. This is The Way 🙌

I thought you'd said you'd repented of your hateful behaviour? Continuing to incite violence doesn't indicate your repentance is real. Then again, Muslims may have a vastly different understanding of what repentance means than Christians. Perhaps for the Muslim it means make a public declaration so that you seem to be good, but continue doing the hateful action anyway!

You are correct, too many minds have been corrupted. It's why at work, I always mention the horror of Oct 7th when the subject comes up, because people only see the destruction of Gaza and forget the cause and who is responsible. It was an especially odd conversation since the person knows that Sinn Fein and the IRA were not separate entities, but part of one terrorist organisation. The statement Hamas weren't combattants becomes even more inexplicable. I believe I manged to convince her that Hamas are terrorists, but her inability to see even 2:1 as incredible and proof Israel hadn't lost the plot was just too far for her. Women, because of the fundamental differences between the sexes (whether nurture or nature), have had their empathy weaponised against them. They are shown pictures of a flattened Gaza and told to feel sorry for them and blame Israel ( &the Jews). They are shown those pictures over and over such that the origin of the destruction and those in charge of that destruction are lost in the fog. The destruction is what matters and Israel is at fault. The mind is unable to move onto other scenes, like the destruction of Syria, the mass slaughter of Nigerian Christians or 30 000 murdered Iranians in one month! No, what matters is my empathy for those living in shattered houses. It doesn't matter what caused it, in fact no one knows what caused it because I'm then told "it didn't start on Oct 7th." Even if I vaguely remember the horror of those few days, I'm jolted back to empathy and blaming Israel because they've always been at war, the Gaza civilians were mere innocent victims caught in the mess between two violent sets of men. And then we have men as the problem since men cause wars. And so the circle of deranged thinking goes on and on. It's a madness, but so many strands have been weaponised against women, such that we have women accepting, even cheering on mass immigration from nations brought up with Islamic sexist ideology that will likely do them harm. However, they are merely "escaping bad circumstances and want to work here," and so the circle of lies that will lead to their destruction it's maintained. Thankfully all the women in my life have been immunised. One as I previously mentioned, was evicted from her house for not being antisemitic and because she correctly blamed Hamas as the cause. So proud of her principled stand.

When a western white individual dismisses the barbarity of terrorists as some kind of righteous freedom fighting, we can safely assume said westerner has lost the ability to critically think & has questionable morals. I don’t know how we fix such individuals, but I can say with certainty they are corrupted & of sick mind.

If Matt's analysis is correct, we are in an even more precarious position that we imagined. An excellent, if terrifying conversation. (It's also available at a podcast.) There are some prescriptions, but no mention of the elephant in the room - asking to leave/removing the majority of the Boris wave. I doubt Reform will win in'29, but if it does, it needs to do more than tinker at the edges. @LiquidFaerie another podcast you may be interested in. You correctly mentioned today that Britain is in dire straits, this discussion suggests it's far worst! youtu.be/0JEskg7PPVA?si…

I look at my nation and no longer understand what is happening. It's like we've collectively gone insane. Those of us, like yourself, who haven't taken the funny pill, look on, feeling like the lone person in the midst of the storm raging around us. We stand there bemused, wondering what form of depravity will next befall us.
