I like telling trader stories after 51 years at this. To understand this psychological warfare means you got to understand the psychology of President Trump. So it was 4:00 AM this morning, I got up to go to the bathroom, looked at my phone and while standing there I saw S&P’s down 60 points. I had some longs that we were working on Friday and now we’re not. But I shook it off, said to myself Trump had them going up on Friday near the close and he’s not gonna be happy that they’re down this much. He’s gonna say something before the opening. So true to the course, he delayed the strikes on Iran for five days and said there had been productive talks with Iran. That has since been denied by the Iranian foreign minister. So whatever you’re hearing and whatever you’re seeing, use the technique, flush and it might turn the waters.

Complementing my extremely sophisticated method of charting of the markets, the present alignment says that the next thing that President Trump says will probably be positive for the markets. This is my new scientific approach!

@askslim They are getting their information from sources like Scott Ritter, Douglas Macgregor, and Pepe Escobar, etc, who do have a lot of military experience and expertese and deliver very convincing arguments. I don't know what to believe at this point after looking at both sides.

What I find ridiculous is all the commentary claiming there’s “no end game” in a war with Iran. 99% of that is coming from people with zero military experience and no understanding of how military planning actually works. They have no idea what our leaders are doing, and no respect for the fact that plans change in real time as conditions evolve. A lot of it isn’t even serious analysis, it’s political bias. Trump haters will grab onto anything they can to say he’s wrong, just to score points or sound credible. Not seeing the plan doesn’t mean there isn’t one. It just means you’re not in the room.

Maybe the US has avoided war. However, Israel, and half the Jews in the world have not as Iran has financed everything they could to bring to the death of that country. Still, you have experience and I’m not dismissing what you are saying. The 99% number comes from multiple social media sites that clearly have people with no experience blathering because they hate Donald Trump. And don’t confuse me for his supporter.

@askslim You got your 99% figure from where? I spent most of my adult life studying warfare. We avoided war with Iran for decades. I was a combat Marine in Vietnam. I am a retired Air Force officer. I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia training RSAF officers to run their Air Defense system.

Why do you think Iran would expose this capability now? They are getting crushed and their only hope is to turn this into a world war. So if they scare Europe into the war, it could also bring China and Russia to defend Iran. And then these barbaric Mullahs can stay in power. So European countries are right to stay out of it. And US and Israel should hurry up and finish it without help, as Trump says he can do.
