Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters 🕌 This Ramadan went by super quickly as they all usually do, but that winter fasting made it really easy (10 hours of fasting compared to 16) lmaoo Inshallah you locked in not only spiritually and religiously, but mentally and physically as well And may God bless all our people whose Ramadan was definitely NOT easy for them Like all of the kids in Palestine, the people in Sudan, and everywhere else around the world that are going through horrible things right now + May God give all their hardships to Satanyahu 🙏🏾

imagine being an African who’s genuinely really good at something that’s truly valuable you come to 𝕏 to share it to “the world” & unfortunately, the few people who’s attention actually mattered for your post - use the “filter by region” feature & your posts don’t even reach them since you’re African you’re stuck in a loop of not being able to get on the global stage because none of what you “build in public” actually reaches the public. you’re honestly better off building elsewhere, 𝕏 is currently being run for developed regions - if you’re unfortunate enough to be born in a developing region - you don’t get a chance to prove yourself on the global stage - at least on 𝕏. the good thing is, if you’re in crypto & were building on 𝕏 to help with crypto distribution (because this app is the crypto native cluster), please feel free to move to TikTok, Instagram & YouTube as ultimately - If crypto truly wants to break the bubble - it needs to begin making moves outside 𝕏 some crypto companies have caught on to this & are making small strides there - even though the traction can be disappointing overall - all these changes both within & outside crypto (especially media wise) will force a massive shed of people & whilst that has its advantages, it’ll become a very big problem if there’s nothing that brings in new people. as for me - I’m very tired & currently living on my last straw of tolerance for everything here. If you read until this point, wish me goodwill or put a prayer in 🫂

Unfortunately, my team got cut in the layoffs. A disappointing outcome to an otherwise fantastic experience. I’m very grateful to have been a Messari Research Analyst. What I can confidently say is that quality thought-leadership is presently the most undervalued resource in crypto. The mediocrity of AI-driven writing and reasoning has convinced many that it is a suitable replacement for a research analyst. I promise you - it isn’t. Frontier technologies today (crypto, AI, robotics, quantum) are hyper-ideological and incredibly contentious. We’re entering a new era that demands human judgement and debate. LLMs will tell you what’s consensus. Ask any LLM today if an intelligent person should pivot from crypto to AI; they all say yes. We need thought-leaders willing to play 4D chess in public and get a couple moves wrong before they win the match. Humanity is incredibly undervalued in the 21st century. Lastly, the talent density at Messari was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Any crypto companies hiring should reach out to myself, Diran, or any of the Messari folks directly to get in contact if you’re looking to hire.

I was so convinced this problem needed solving that I built procta.org, released in private beta last week. Today one of my testers sent me this tweet, someone has raised $10M for the same product we are testing…. Speechless, I guess the lesson here is to build fast and launch fast, you don’t have autonomy on your ideas. Slightly different approach but solving the same problem, so cooked I have no idea what to do now 😂
