I once got a review that said “Dee Snider should be forced to get a lobotomy!” I took that as a compliment!

As you may have heard, “The Thing” has been added to the Library of Congress. We made the movie to push against the edges of what we could pull off, and it carries that strain in its bones. Seeing it now treated with the same care and reverence we had making it means a great deal to me and everyone who brought it to life. I especially want to remember TK Carter, who brought heart and humor into that desolate, frozen place and should be standing here with us today sharing in this recognition.  Thank you to everyone who continues to keep it alive.

@deesnider Yes , I was responding to a gentleman. However i know Dee Wallace did something small but i really didn’t see her really be known until The Howling , I didn’t realize she did 1977 The Hill Have Eyes. Not sure if that would count. But to me it def set a tone for her

I love Lance Hendrickson in Pumpkinhead, but he was a successful established actor when he did that movie. The discussion is big actors who got their START in horror films (Johnny Depp in Nightmare On Elm Street is a prime example).

Our hearts are broken. Ace has passed on. No one can touch Ace’s legacy. I know he loved the fans. He told me many times. Sadder still, Ace didn’t live long enough to be honored at the Kennedy Ctr Honors event in Dec. Ace was the eternal rock soldier. Long may his legacy live on!
