Historically, weekday dramas tend to achieve higher ratings because most people stay home knowing they have work or school the next day. Fridays, however, usually see a noticeable decline in household viewership as people go out, socialize, travel, or simply unwind after a long week. Another thing to consider is the competitive landscape of Thai television. For years, CH7HD has been the dominant force in TV ratings, consistently commanding nearly half of the total television audience in Thailand. In comparison, CH3 typically holds less than 30% of the market. That's a significant difference in audience reach from the very start. Ironically, the show being used as comparisons against #LingOrm is aired on CH7HD—the network with the largest television audience—and some even benefit from more favorable timeslots. When you compare network performance overall, CH7HD generally outperforms CH3 in ratings regardless of whether it's a weekday or weekend broadcast. With all that context in mind, a 1.8 TV rating for Episode 1 is far from disappointing. In fact, it's a very encouraging start considering the timeslot, the day of broadcast, the network's smaller audience share, and the fact that this is still a niche genre compared to mainstream lakorns. In conclusion, comparing LO's ratings directly to shows airing on CH7HD is not an apples-to-apples comparison. They are broadcasted on different networks with vastly different audience shares, different viewing habits, and different levels of built-in reach. A more meaningful assessment is to evaluate how LO performs relative to other CH3 dramas in a similar timeslot and under similar circumstances. When viewed through that lens, a 1.8 rating for Episode 1 is not only respectable—it's genuinely impressive, especially for a sapphic series airing on a Friday night. And it's not that wide of a gap😏 Context matters. Numbers without context can be misleading, but numbers with context tell a very different story. So if some people choose to judge the series solely by a number without understanding the context behind it, let them. Episode 1 has already shown strong potential despite several challenges. This should give far more reasons for optimism than concern 🔥😁 And if the upward trend continues, those same people may soon find themselves explaining why the show they dismissed ended up outperforming expectations 😌✨
