After a lot of prayer and long talks with my family, I’ve made the decision to move on from Maumelle High School. This wasn’t something I took lightly—this place has meant a lot to me—but I truly believe God is opening a new door, and I’m ready to follow where He leads. When I look back on the last few years, I’m honestly proud of what we built together. We didn’t just coach football—we changed the trajectory of a program and the lives of a lot of young men. Some things I’ll always carry with me: Walking into my first day of offseaon and only have 14 young men in there and getting to the point where we had to order new jersey number we had so many players out for football last year. Over 30 student-athletes earning full-ride scholarships—the most college signees in school history. That’s kids getting their education paid for because of their work, their belief, and their growth. More wins in a three-year stretch than any time since the school opened. Three straight playoff appearances, including an Elite 8 run. Back-to-back conference championship games. Establishing Maumelle as a consistent Top-10 program in the state. But honestly, the wins and the rankings don’t mean as much as the relationships. Watching these boys grow into men, seeing them succeed in the classroom, helping them chase their dreams after football—that’s what I’m most proud of. To my players past and present: thank you. You trusted me, you worked for me, and you let me be part of your journey. I’ll always be in your corner, no matter where I go. To the families, coaches, and everyone who supported this program: I appreciate you more than you will ever know. I’m stepping into this next chapter with peace, excitement, and faith that God has something special planned for me and for the community I get to serve next. Thank you, Maumelle.
