@tonyleen @MeathGAA Tony, it was a black card offence for original foul therefore referee is duty bound to issue the card. The subsequent not hand ball back is a non issue after that. As rule is written the referee operated within this so good refereeing even though I was hoping for the 50m also.

Surely the big debate is why the last cynical @MeathGAA foul (and black card) wasn't brought 50m forward...with an opportunity for Cork to engineer a potential equalising two-point free?

I am so sad to be reading about the passing of Michael Lyster. He made the Sunday Game that bit more special. We would love it when it was Sunday afternoon during the GAA season, knowing that Michael was going to be presenting it on TV. No one has ever been as good. RIP Michael

@BBCSPORTNI 4 v 3 rule breach was due to Armagh player being more than 4m in opposition half. Once you are 4m+ in opposition half then the 20m free and subsequent 2 points attempt is correct

@Lattaballix Well done, that is the whole point of the new rules. The game was wrecked by negative play and the solo and go negates this. Welcome to the new world of Gaelic football.

The new rules aren't the problem, it's the application that is the problem. Lane gave unbelievably soft free kicks (nothing to do with the new rules). However, the give and go and not being able to hold up play then leaves you wide open. #GAA.
