Look at the top earners in the Blue Valley School District from KansasOpenGov.org below -- you really think parents, footing a massive and growing property tax bill, want to hear you cry poor over having to enforce a cell phone ban that is widely applauded? As for already having one in place, fine, then you should have an idea of how to simply make this enforceable and compliant with state law. Despite all the complaining, they have been unable to simply explain WHY this is going to cost them millions. They're just saying it. And a willing Kansas City media has just reported it as fact, instead of asking obvious questions. I got worked up over this today. It wasn’t until the 66th victim that the creepy predator got caught. So what that shows is less than a 2% chance you’ll get caught recording women & children inside the all gender restrooms at KCI. That is absolutely unacceptable! The recordings went on for over 3 months. Mr. Mayor - this isn’t just one incident. To my progressive friends out there - I do believe we should make space for folks who want individual or family style spaces to travel in comfort. AND yes, you’re correct that the creep who did it appears to be a straight male. That point is irrelevant. The point is our first priority should be protecting women & children which means making the majority of the stalls in KCI safe and clean for our ladies. This is common sense.
