This is my city, Beit Hanoun.
It was once known as the “Green City” for its abundance of olive and orange trees. It produced and exported oranges and olives to the entire world.

A Lebanese Army investigation concludes that the Israeli attack in the Christian area of Ain Saadeh last night did in fact target the third floor apartment of the Lebanese Forces politician who was murdered with his wife. The army adds that the building had no new tenants, putting to rest the narrative that a member of Hezbollah was hiding in an adjacent apartment.
This means the Israelis targeted the home of a politician who belongs to a party that many view as an ally of the Israelis.
The Israelis claim it was an accident and that they thought they were assassinating a Hezbollah operatives.
This makes zero sense given the area and building is full of residents hostile to Hezbollah and suspicious of the displaced.
This was either shockingly bad Israeli intelligence or Israel did this to provoke sectarian infighting across Lebanon.
While some Lebanese Forces voices have remained calm and responsible, others are fanning the flames, just as Israel might have hoped for.

بتاريخ ٥ / ٤ / ٢٠٢٦ حوالي الساعة ٢١:٠٠، تعرضت شقة في منطقة عين سعادة - المتن لاستهداف إسرائيلي معادٍ بقنبلتين من نوع GBU-39 الذي يطلَق من طائرة أو بارجة، في سياق العدوان الواسع على لبنان. وقد حضرت وحدة مختصة من الجيش إلى مكان الاعتداء وأجرت المسح الميداني لجمع الأدلة، وتَبين بالنتيجة أنّ القنبلتين اخترقتا سطح المبنى ثم الطابق الرابع، وانفجرتا في الطابق الثالث المستهدَف بالاعتداء، ما أدى إلى استشهاد ثلاثة مواطنين من سكان الطابق نفسه، وإصابة آخرين بجروح. كما أظهرت التحقيقات الأولية عدم وجود مستأجِرين جدد في المبنى. وفيما تَبيّن أنّ أحد الأشخاص شوهد وهو يغادر المبنى بواسطة دراجة نارية بعد الاعتداء مباشرة، يتواصل التحقيق لكشف هويته والوقوف على بقية التفاصيل. تدعو قيادة الجيش إلى عدم إطلاق التكهنات حيال هذا الاعتداء، والتحلي بالوعي والمسؤولية، بانتظار انتهاء التحقيق. #الجيش_اللبناني #LebaneseArmy shorturl.at/NSkzl

OpenAI was founded on the premise that A.I. could be the most dangerous invention in human history—and that its C.E.O. would need to be a person of uncommon integrity. We lay out the most detailed account yet of why Altman was ousted out by board members and executives who came to believe he lacked that integrity, and ask: were they right to allege that he couldn't be trusted?

💢 An Israeli strike in Ain Saadeh Hills, a hillside suburb northeast of Beirut, on Sunday killed Pierre Moawad, a Christian political figure affiliated with the Lebanese Forces party, along with his wife.
Moawad was a local Lebanese Forces head for Yahchouch, a mountain town in the Keserwan region further north. The party is a right-wing Christian faction known for its anti-Hezbollah stance and past collaboration with Israel.
According to L’Orient-Le Jour sources, the intended target may have been someone living on the floor above the Moawad family. The building’s owner said the unit had been vacant for some time.

Israel just passed death penalty law for ~10,000 Palestinian prisoners.
This violates the Common Article 3 applies to all four Geneva Conventions, but international law clearly doesn't apply to Israel.
