Nothing that happened today matters. Nothing that could have happened including him partially admitting to some of the accusations would have mattered. This was never about finding the truth and was always only about optics. He is and was always going to be confirmed.

Jeff Flake isn't going to save you. Ben Sasse isn't going to save you. There is only one way forward and that is getting these immoral, repugnant excuses for human beings out of office. Not hearings, not investigations, not marches or protests - they will result in nothing.

If you are a progressive or a member of the left and earnestly thought today might result in something changing, please, I beg of you, open your eyes to the new reality we live in. Nothing matters except who is in power.

Don't let people off the hook with that crap. Not voting is immoral. Not voting says to your gay friends that you hate them. Not voting says to your women friends that they are less than you. Not voting tells your black friends you think it's okay to indiscriminately kill them.

Organize, register people to vote, donate money, canvas. Talk to people about why voting matters. I literally screamed at someone who doesn't vote because "politics doesn't affect them" at a WEDDING this weekend about how it's legal to fire someone for being gay in 28 states
