@Phillies It’ll always be the first place I ever saw a baseball game back in the early 80s. Was quite a place. Here it was in 1993...which was a heck of a year.

In regards to speculation about the PWHL expanding to Chicago, the league has not confirmed that any expansion decision has been made at this time. I’d also be shocked if they considered playing in a 2,000 seat arena.

Sounds like the next new PWHL team won’t be coming to Denver, but Chicago. #goavsgo @TheHockeyNews

People have to understand the moves in the cap that are coming are basically unprecedented. So on one hand adding via FA wasn't a bad idea. They were getting the room to pay highly coveted guys. We talk a lot about Flyers purgatory - that means they're still good enough to not be a dumpster fire and one or two high profile FA's could make a difference in a playoff run/getting in. Especially after Michkov came over early. The problem was if the cap goes up for them it goes up for the clubs that already have guys that like where they are and really don't want to leave. Hence long term deals for upcoming FA's. The other problem was by the time Danny was done cleaning up the disaster of retained/buried money the cap decided to projectile up. So the first problem became the Flyers problem. They also aren't ignoring building from the bottom up. Danny has had to take his shots on draft picks. Jury is still way out on those picks. Maybe they can get one or two really good guys out of what they have stockpiling to make the difference in purgatory vs actually competing for a cup. They also have capital in picks and prospects (and especially overloaded at wingers) where they could probably package a deal in a trade for a highly coveted need. They're still not nearly at a point...for me...to bury the plan as a failure. #LetsGoFlyers

They were hoping they'd have a path this summer to supercharging the rebuild by adding a big-name free agent (or two). Now, they can't. The path to doing that now basically is only trades. So Briere will need to make one or two really good ones, maybe this summer, maybe next.

Ciernik projects as a modern, pace‑driven winger: good straight‑line speed and enough agility to play in transition. Likely best utilized on lines that want to attack off the rush rather than grind in the offensive zone. Here is how he ended up in the #LetsGoFlyers organization

Yeah that's tough with the concussion issues. Maybe the Phantoms can help him adjust and fix some of the problems affecting his on-ice game. He's one of those guys that can really make Flahr and company look incredibly smart or just plain dumb over the next couple of seasons (at least in LV). #LetsGoFlyers
Alexander Appleyard@avappleyard

Very rough year for him. Had another concussion and missed time. But @NHLFlyers Ciernik has the speed and the skill and the grit to be an #NHL player. Seems a great guy too from talking to him! Next year is massive for him. #Flyers
