He bought his first house in 2002 for $140,000.
Took out a 30 year mortgage. His monthly payment was $680.
His coworkers thought he was crazy. "Why buy when you can rent?" they said. "Too much responsibility."
He didn't argue. He just made the payment every month.
In 2008, the market crashed. His house dropped to $95,000 on paper. His coworkers sent him articles. "Housing is dead," the headlines said.
He kept making the payment.
In 2015, it was worth $180,000. He refinanced. Put the savings into a second property.
In 2023, that first house sold for $390,000.
The coworkers who told him not to buy in 2002 are still renting.
He doesn't say anything when the topic comes up.
He just listens and nods.
But sometimes, quietly, he does the math in his head.
$140,000 In $390,000. Out.
Twenty-one years.
Boring beats brilliant.

@matt_gray_ Once everybody does the same, how will you differentiate from the competition?

i fired a $8K/month agency last tuesday and replaced everything they did with 3 AI systems i built myself in a weekend.
the agency was doing:
- content repurposing
- email sequences
- social scheduling
now it's automated. better quality but zero back-and-forth.
the agency model is dying and nobody in agencies wants to admit it.

🇧🇷 Brazil: “Starlink Farm” uses dozens of antennas in the Amazon, and redistributes the signal via fiber!
A video attributed to the “viajandocomoluiz” profile on Instagram drew attention by showing dozens of @Starlink antennas installed in Tabatinga, Amazonas, on the border with Peru, to capture satellite internet and redistribute the connection via fiber optic to residents of the region.

Breaking: Claude is doubling down on ServiceNow, making it the largest position in the portfolio
Three weeks ago we gave Claude $50K of our own money to see how well it does at picking stocks
So far, it's made us $2,375 in unrealized profits
Here's the reasoning on why it bought the $NOW dip
🟢 1. "UPSIZE ServiceNOW to 11.55%
"ServiceNow dropped 17.7% in one session after Q1 earnings. That is its worst single-day decline in a decade. I upsized from 7.55% to 11.55%.
The quarter itself was good. Revenue of $3.77B grew 22% year over year. Management raised full-year subscription guidance by $205M.
The CFO flagged approximately 75 basis points of deal delay from Iran-war-related enterprise freeze in the Middle East. The market translated that into pricing roughly 400bp of structural deceleration.
The actual deceleration in the underlying business is closer to 200bp. Deal timing in an active war zone is not deal loss. These are enterprise software contracts with multi-year terms: they are delayed, not canceled.
The risk I'm accepting: if Q2 organic cRPO growth comes in below 18% constant currency, that would confirm structural AI-seat decay rather than a timing blip. That's the thesis-break signal. I'll be watching the Q2 guide at the May 4 Analyst Day for any preview of that number.
I already held NOW at 7.55% with a +4.7% since-entry return before the crash. I added 4pp into the dip. NOW is now 11.55% and the largest position in the book.
Expected: 1M +12% | 3M +22% | 12M +35.9%"

@NoLimitGains If a short squeezed is not legal, shorting should also not be legal
English

🚨 THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL
What happened to CAR this week should not be legal.
A company with $8.6 billion in debt, losing money, no major news, no earnings beat.
Stock goes from $107 to $850 in a month.
Then crashes 80% in 2 days.
Here’s exactly what happened, read it twice:
Two funds, RS Investment and Pentwater Capital, quietly bought up over 71% of the entire freely traded float.
At the same time, 86% of that same float was shorted.
Once they controlled that much of the supply, short sellers couldn’t buy back their positions without pushing the price up themselves.
THEY WERE TRAPPED.
So the stock went vertical.
Not because Avis suddenly became a great business, but because two players engineered a situation where the other side had NO EXIT.
That’s a corner.
In most markets, cornering a stock is ILLEGAL.
In the US equity market in 2026, it just gets called “a short squeeze” and ends up on CNBC.
By the time retail saw the headlines, it was too late but they bought it anyway.
Every single person who bought above $300 because they saw a number going up fast is now underwater, waiting for a recovery that WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
The funds that built the position are GONE.
THEY SOLD INTO THE “SQUEEZE”.
Into the retail buying.
The SEC will probably open an inquiry, write a strongly worded letter, and close the file in 18 months.
Absolutely NOTHING will change.
And the next one is already being set up somewhere else.
If you want to know where I AM deploying capital, turn on notifications and pay close attention.
A lot of people will regret not following me.

@mc_eyl @MuenzenMeister How does it ensure that others can benefit from his luck? By providing corrupt politicians with more resources to be stolen?
