I revisited my #UE5 blackhole project recently. Updated the lighting. Before the light was only coming from the photon sphere around the event horizon. Now, in addition to that, I've added light coming from the gas itself, which gives it a much more realistic appearance. More screenshots in thread.

Patch 26.6 Full Preview Azir - We're buffing Azir to distribute some of his power back into regular play capabilities through scaling power that Azir players hopefully will appreciate - Phreak is Xerath Lissandra - Lissandra hasn't really felt the same since her Q cooldown was nerfed in Season 9 - Times have really changed since then and her perma priority waveclear + aftershock taking days and in the vein of making champions feel better to play, we're seeing if she can sustain having this cooldown again Olaf JG - These changes are targeted at Jungle, which has been languishing a bit - Top is a little bit weak, so he will be getting buffed there a bit too Sunfire Aegis - Sunfire's build cost (1000g) has been long cited as a pretty painful experience of the item - While we think having some painful build paths is valuable for the long term value of League, we think this one is a bit too painful ---------- Ranked EUW/VN Matchmaking - We've had about a week and a half now of autofill vs autofill matchmaking being Live and we're seeing excellent results - In regions like Vietnam with a high autofill rate, we're seeing autofill vs autofill go from ~25% of games to 75% of games - In EUW, regular play was already good (90% of the time autofill vs autofill), but in high MMR we went from 30% to 85% - We will continue to roll out to more regions over the coming patches as we're seeing positive results here Apex LP - So far, so good on Apex LP fix resolving most of the issues. The fix looks to be good and is holding - >98% of players should be between 19 and 21 in terms of LP gains, calibrating up and down in small amounts (+19/-21 or +21/-19 or +20/-20) - We have one small fix coming in 26.6 to make this even more consistent

Today is the 20th birthday of The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II. Published by EA on March 3, 2006, it is set in Middle-Earth during the War of the Ring. It features Good and Evil campaigns with nine missions each, massive RTS battles, and heroes like Aragorn and the Witch-king. You can command six factions: Men of the West, Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Isengard, and Mordor. It didn't introduce new features but followed essentially the same formula as other popular RTS games of its era. You build your base, research upgrades, build an army, and try to destroy your enemy. Done a gazillion times... but why reinvent the wheel if it's a proven concept? For LOTR fans it was certainly worth it, and given the success of the movie trilogy, it made a lot of sense to profit from the hype.

Nintendo acquiring another studio. This team did major work on Ace Combat 7, soul caliber VI, Tekken 7 + 8, and Splatoon 3 + Pokemon Snap. As far as we’re aware no IP’s are part of the deal. But another high quality studio gets added to Nintendo’s portfolio.

@AleExorcist The restructuring was just announced last Wednesday. The reiteration of the purchase of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, in the article as well, is for the purpose of emphasizing the large wave of changes being made within Bandai Namco Holdings as of recent.

Bandai Namco Holdings has Officially Announced a thorough company restructuring, renaming departments and enacting personnel changes Nintendo will also acquire 80% of the Bandai Namco Studios Singapore on April 1st, the other 20% later, and become Nintendo Studios Singapore

@Reptile9LoL Grinding League is not a positive experience, espeically when the -lp = +lp pretty much, and for a multiplayer 5v5 game with wild variability to who is on your team and no weighting to individual performance: achieving high tiers can be anti-climatic for some.

Saw this and asked myself if its normal that negative things feel way worse than what positive things can make up for it? Is it a mindset thing that can change or is that just the very nature of human feelings?
