
How To Count Cards (Step 2: The True Count)
The running count tells you direction.
The true count tells you how strong the advantage is.

Same running count ≠ same edge.
Example:
+6 with 1 deck left → very strong
+6 with 6 decks left → much weaker

That’s why we use:
True Count = Running Count ÷ Decks Remaining

You’re standardizing the count per deck.

Example:
Running Count = +8
Decks Remaining ≈ 4
True Count = +2
Your edge is based on +2… not +8.

Rough guide:
Negative → casino advantage
0 → neutral
Positive → player advantage

The higher the true count, the stronger your edge.
