Nice afternoon on CT debating with @newmichwill about @CurveFinance and @Uniswap, CEXes, and the PropAMM infrastructure we're building on @ethereum with @titanbuilderxyz and @class_lambda. Meanwhile, in our Lambda Argentina office, we got a lovely Curve Wars painting. It's interesting to see that most of these people disappeared but Lambda and Curve are still here.

It's been only a couple of days since ethrex started running the new benchmarkoor BAL suites, and it's already among the top three clients in both benchmarks. Ethrex currently leads the compute suite at ~1.95 Ggas/s gas-weighted aggregated throughput, ahead of every other execution client. We've also made a strong jump in the stateful suite, moving into second place. There’s still plenty of room for optimization, but Glamsterdam is already looking very promising.

With only a few PropAMMs deployed thanks to the work of @titanbuilderxyz and @class_lambda, users can already do onchain swaps of $100k in stablecoins at a ridiculous cost of just 0.4bps. All this on @ethereum. Incredible. Ethereum will soon become the global settlement layer for remittances and forex. I honestly believe this is the most important thing we have to do right now. We have to make sure Ethereum becomes the best place to do finance. Ethereum already has the best uptime, security, diversity, and research. We only need to improve on engineering and expose our products to the rest of the world, so that they use Ethereum without even knowing it, like Linux runs in your car, fridge, or server without you ever realizing it.

In case anyone missed it, yesterday started the EF devnet 5 client interop runs. We already merged our devnet5 branch to main and are running internal devnets in parallel, looking for issues or performance improvement opportunities.

Ethrex v16.0.0 is out! 🚨 This release contains critical bug fixes and is strongly recommended for all operators. What's new: - --rocksdb.block-cache-size flag to control RAM usage over the block cache - Security-critical fixes across consensus, txpool, and p2p - A bunch of minor bug fixes and stability improvements ⚠️ Upgrade note: this release changes the database schema. The migration runs automatically and needs no resync, but once you upgrade you can't roll back to an earlier version.

Two weeks ago the Seminar on Code Theory, Low-Degree Testing, and PIOPs began. Across four biweekly meetings, the seminar traces the path from the fundamentals of linear code theory to modern polynomial proximity protocols, with direct applications to zero knowledge testing schemes. In this first meeting we covered the generalities of code theory, introduced Reed–Solomon codes, and discussed the current direction of linear codes in ZK protocols. The program is led by Manuel Puebla, a teacher and researcher in UBA and @class_lambda whose background bridges pure mathematics and engineering. He holds a degree in Mathematics, with a focus on Pure Mathematics, from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, and trained in Electronic Engineering at the same university's Faculty of Engineering, where he has taught since 2001. He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics at FIUBA and holds the Palacios-Puebla Chair at the CBC. Our thanks to the Facultad de Ingeniería, UBA for hosting us and making their facilities available for this first meeting. The second meeting of the seminar took place at @Exactas_UBA, Manuel Puebla's home faculty. We're grateful to them for hosting us and opening their space for this session. Holding the seminar within this academic and institutional setting enriches the program and reaffirms the value of building these initiatives in coordination with the public university.

We saw an aggregation performance regression in a devnet, when trying out the newest leanVM changes. When running leanVM benchmarks on it, and comparing both the old and new commits, we found that the regression affected the raw XMSS aggregation only (not recursive aggregation).

Lambda @class_lambda researchers and engineers defending Ethereum across every dimension: cryptography/ZK, formal verification, compilers/VMs, block building, MEV, DeFi, security, distributed systems. Nerds unite!

I'm just gonna leave this. Amazing work @gattacahq @class_lambda. PropAMMs in @ethereum are making Ethereum more efficient and competitive against CEXes and other L1s. Volume is just going to keep growing.
