The #hybridConference Copenhagen #Diabetes Consensus 2021 (#codiac2021) has now concluded its 2nd meeting day. But ideas & initiatives started are carried forward by the community. We look forward to following their development and see #userinvolvement in diabetes grow & evolve

#SoMe to enhance #userinvolvement. Lost is happening om SoMe already that needs to be activated. Idea: use influencers with #diabetes to create and gather ideas #codiac2021

The final reflections of the discussions and outcomes of #Codiac2021 - but work on the ideas created continues beyond this conference

User as a movement - more correct info to #decisionmakers needs to be disseminated through new platforms this could be through educational kits, tv shows of trying to live with diabetes, joint hashtags. The work should start NOW #codiac2021

Vulnerable groups have been difficult to address. Idea: to collect good practice studies in this area and try existing tools from other sectors and get funders on board! #codiac2021

There is inadequate attention to people with multi morbidity - #this needs to be addressed and a #codiac2021 community group is ready to carry this forward

#Userinvolvement should be more lead by the users - an idea is an open platform for them to present needs, challengers etc from where the researchers can seek inspiration. Rather than researcher driven research #codiac2021

#Languagematters in #userinvolvement There is still a biomedical focus in communication that need to be broken down. Training of users and patients to help them meet the system and of providers to adjust language to user needs #codiac2021 perhaps through userlead training

The family as a setting for #userinvolvement: valuable to map the developmental steps of young #peoplewithdiabetes and the role of the family. Suggested done through a concrete PhD project #codiac2021

Filling gaps in user involvement I #Clinicalresearch in #diabetes : Encourage the involvement of users through out the entire #researchprocess, including getting funders on board with #userinvolvement and create evidence for how and why it is useful #codiac2021
