@GJASD01 @RinoTheBouncer @AestheticGamer1 As well as it did a lot of people skipped that game but came back when they started to flesh out Ethan more as a character in 8. I think gameplay amd the characters are what keep people around.

@RinoTheBouncer @AestheticGamer1 Re7 has 0 legacy characters right up until the end and it felt like a true RE game and revived the series. That’s just not true. Resident evil is not just any other zombie game, resident evil is the survival horror game, that’s its real soul. It invented that kind of gameplay.

The problem with a Resident Evil movie not following the characters from the franchise... The characters and their story are why we love the games. Without Chris & Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, or Leon Kennedy and Wesker... Resident Evil just becomes another Zombie flick.
