AWOLOWO WAS THE BEST POLITICIAN OF HIS ERA IN NIGERIA AND AFRICA AT LARGE. HE MADE WESTERN NIGERIA THE MOST EDUCATED IN AFRICA AND THE FASTEST ECONOMY OF HIS ERA. HIS IMPACT IN THE WEST WAS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. IN THOSE DAYS MANY IBOS, AND PEOPLE FROM OTHER REGIONS CAME TO THE WEST FOR FREE EDUCATION AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES. AWOLOWO WAS ALSO PAYING HIGHER SALARY THAN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE.
