🇺🇸 JUST IN: The FBI has provided an update on the case involving Ghanaian socialite Frederick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica, who is facing extradition proceedings over alleged involvement in a large-scale fraud operation.
According to the bureau, the case is part of an ongoing “consumer fraud” investigation involving at least five Ghanaians accused of defrauding over 130 victims across the United States in romance scam operations, allegedly amounting to over $15 million.
The FBI says three suspects in the US have been detained, while two including Abu Trica are currently in Ghana awaiting extradition. The bureau also reported asset seizures valued at over $3 million, including luxury vehicles.
