who cares when or why or for how long someone reads!!!! reading is reading!!!! y'all are grown ass adults with the mentality of teenagers in a 2014 fandom war, gatekeeping and hierarchizing reading, because you can't enjoy something without needing to prove you're the best at it.

regardless of the video likely being rage bait, buying physical books even if you don't keep them forever is good and not overconsumption. losing interest in reading, for periods of time or altogether, isn't "fake" or "doing it to be trendy," it's actually normal hobby behavior.

saw a video of a someone boxing up their books with "moving on" and "new era" in the caption and people are MAD, yelling about "the difference between lifetime readers and people who jumped on the booktok trend" and "overconsumption" and "real readers don't do that" i'm ?????
