I'm 27. 10 years in trading. Still unprofitable. College dropout, doing whatever work I can to survive while chasing this nightmare. Part of me wants to keep going, and part of me wonders if I'm wasting more time. I honestly don't know what the right move is anymore.

90% of your trading day will be extremely boring Sometimes you’ll spend hours on the charts and not even take a trade for multiple days But you NEED to have the patience to do it if you actually want to see money from this game

Backtesting again with my updating method of trading + my current mentality will be super interesting, can't wait to see my stats at the end of all this Plus the data will give me more confidence on the charts, and I'll be able to make decisions in terms of scaling, etc

Just finished 5/100 backtest trades I'd forgotten just how boring backtesting actually is, because I'm not getting any money out of it RIGHT NOW, but I'm gathering data so I can make money in the FUTURE. Apart from that I got distracted, took breaks, etc. which meant my efficiency was cooked. Gotta get back to grind mode

I am not sure if this is public info but bitcoin cycles are PERFECT to the exact day ATH run from 2014-2017: 1064 days ATL run from 2017-2018: 364 days ATH run 2018-2021: 1064 days ATL run 2021-2022: 364 days ATH run 2022-2025: 1064 days Currently based off this sequence we will continue to go down on bitcoin probably from $20,000-$40,000 and bottom out around October 5th, 2026 The chance this is completely random is less than 0.000001% there's just no way

I was right, but I messed up. Turns out the order never reached Tradovate. I basically demo traded yesterday. Not sure what exactly happened, maybe I didn't pay enough attention while actually placing the limit order I felt so sick man, so sick. Knowing that it was the 2nd time for the week I've had some execution issue Either way, after feeding Tradovate's data to ChatGPT, I've now resolved to both pre-trade and post-trade checks on everything, from whether I'm in my Tradovate acc on TradingView to whether my trade's been sent through Can't keep letting this happen

Is oil even heading for a weekly gain at this point? 😂

Price was bearish, but I set my TP at 150 points so still waiting

Originally believed price was bullish, but after seeing what was happening on the charts i realized price was yet to break above the SH that caused the bearish reversal So I took a short, waiting to see how it plays out. Either way I'm happy with my execution as usual, my analysis still needs some fine tuning but so far so good. Ever since I added in analysis my trading's felt so much better, before I would have taken anything that approached my entry zones. Hope you guys are winning

@bynummm Same, I started adding in some concepts myself for my analysis and my trading's gotten a lot better

i'm dabbling in ict concepts for the first time and honestly, wow. i used to brush them off as illegitimate, but now that i understand some of the logic underneath them, i see why traders use them. i backtested today's pa with ict concepts, and it provided a great framework with good results. note to self: strategy hopping doesn’t prove profitability. discipline and consistency do.

@bkfcorp Yeah, I changed my TP back to $150 standard, that's the RR I backtested previously and it got results

Was wrong on this, haven't checked the charts since so I assume it's a case of price being bullish within the prev SH/SL structure. If not there must have been some sort of news that influenced bullish action

Made sure I was on my Tradovate account😂 Anyways, overall the market seemed bearish (LLs and LHs), so I set up my S/R lines, entry zones and waited for a short. Entered once price hit my entry point and that was it. I set an alarm on my phone for 30 minutes and check on the trade once it goes off. If it isn't resolved by then, I'll set another 30 minute alarm and check on it again then. I've found that's a lot less stressful than constantly staring at the charts. Also, I don't feel tempted to end the trade early.

@DiegoBTrades Easy to fix. Track all your trades and see on average how long the winners take to hit TP. Peace of mind. Data can fix a lot of psychology.

I've Learned if a trade doesn't immediately go to my TP im low key mentally cooked if i can work on this i'll be trading on a whole new level
