Too many students are being sold a university education that won't get them a decent job at the end of it. So I'm cracking down on rip-off degrees and boosting apprenticeships to ensure students get the best deal possible. Widening access. Boosting jobs. Growing the economy.

The main food shops usually have net profit margins under 2%. The big food price rises have come from dearer energy, fertiliser and wages, from growing too little of our own food and from past Central bank inflationary policies. EU food inflation has been fast as well.

This is absolutely appalling. You have no idea the impact this has on students. I’ve supervised students who were forced by financial issues to leave their children at home whilst they studied. It’s a source of constant distress. It also violates a basic human right to family.
