If you don’t understand these 7 terms, embedded systems will always feel confusing If you do? You’re already ahead of most beginners Let’s break it down: 1️⃣ Microcontroller (MCU) The brain — runs your code and controls everything 2️⃣ GPIO Your system’s “doors” Input → receive (button) Output → send (LED) 3️⃣ Sensor Detects the real world (temperature, distance, etc.) 4️⃣ Actuator Makes things happen (motor, buzzer) Sensor = detects Actuator = reacts 5️⃣ Firmware The code that tells your system what to do 6️⃣ PWM Controls intensity (LED brightness, motor speed) 7️⃣ Circuit The path electricity follows No path = no system Master these, and embedded systems starts making sense 🦾 Want to know more?
