Doblers: diners
Pronunciam "dotbes"
Es "doblers" són una antiga moneda catalana-medieval, equivalent a dos diners, encunyada a Mallorca amb la creació del "sistema monetari mallorquí" per Jaume II
Aquí tenim molts de doblers 😅

Only when you understand the pieces does this chess set truly become interesting.
Designed in 1923 at the #Bauhaus in Weimar by Josef Hartwig, each piece expresses its movement through its form. The knight reflects its L-shaped move, the bishop follows a diagonal logic, and the rook remains clear and direct. Even the king and queen are reduced to their function.
What emerges is not a decorative #chess set, but a system in which every form has meaning.
That is precisely why this chess set is being rediscovered today.

@bibiloni I will answer to this in English: I feel really sorry that too many people in Mallorca and Valencia are so pre-occupied by the language name "Catalan" that they ignore the importance of preserving this same language. How the language is called, should not be a priority issue!

@AliBobTom @Civil_War_Spain I am so sorry, but I don’t agree. The main difference are the chemicals used in Morroco and banned in Spain

@Civil_War_Spain I work at a fruit & veg stall on Saturday mornings - not my main job, just some extra income & social contact. I always think there's not that much difference between buying Morrocan or Spanish fruit if many of the workers in Spain are Morrocans working in the far south of Spain,
