I’ve not competed for nearly 6 years. The itch has never gone away. Having been forced not to play for the last 2 years, I miss it more than ever. However, it’s amazing how even considering competing elicits all the same old thoughts and feelings. Conditioning runs deep! #golf

The desired ball flight dictates the impact alignments. The impact alignments require an appropriate movement of the golf club. The movement of the golf club will encourage and organise the movement of the hands, arms and body. The task comes first. #golf #dorsetgolfcoach

Simple Concept to Consider: The first purpose of the golf swing is simply to move the club head far enough away from the ball, so as to provide enough space for it to accelerate to an appropriate speed by the time it reaches impact. #golf #elsdongolf #dorsetgolfcoach

It’s incredible that so many golfers, who’d love to shoot lower scores, simply don’t. Hit the ball over 200 yards and play courses under 6,500 yards… you could be in the 70s, regularly. #golf #elsdongolf #dorsetgolfcoach

@JJBcircles Sorry… Practice. Practice. Practice. If you struggle, start small & build up. Become an expert at striking a chip 👌 Then a pitch 👌 Then a short iron 👌 etc. Put alignment sticks either side of the club, like train tracks to swing through, do it until you 4get they’re there. 👊

@Guyotat212563 If I have a thought it’s, “Don’t add anything, don’t remove anything” but as far as feel goes, I feel more aggressive than I look but I never feel forced. 👍👊

@Andyval94752272 Visually I see the transition starting as the lead arm approaches horizontal. The previous video (with the pause) was a clip from a session where I was demonstrating to a pupil. I rarely use the pause myself but will recommend it if I believe it’ll be of benefit. 👍👊

@elsdongolf When do you feel the start of your downswing cause it literally looks like you’re going forward before you complete your Backswing and in your last Video you look like you were pausing a click before you started your Downswing? By the way your Swing is so Quiet!

@Daviddawson1203 Also, plenty of great players have felt/demonstrated a pause or delay in transition. You’re in good company if you’ve integrated it into your action! 💪🏆

@Daviddawson1203 Most of my videos are clips from me demonstrating to pupils in lessons, this is one of them. I like to keep the camera rolling so I can watch the sessions back. I’ve rarely used a pause in my own practice but suggest it somewhat regularly to pupils who would benefit. 👍👊
