Waifusweeper's Waifu Slayer leaderboard is probably one of the most intense weekly competitions I’ve played recently. Even though I already know how to play the game well, things still didn’t go smoothly for me, and here’s why. But first… what is Waifu Slayer? It’s a weekly competition in @waifusweeper that runs from Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 11:59 UTC. The goal is simple: - Don’t die - Defeat the Darklord - Build your win streak and climb the leaderboard And no, you don’t need super fast clears to compete. Playing safe and consistently is often the better strategy. The rewards are huge too (can be changed weekly): • Top 30 in x2 mode share $1,500 worth of energy • Top 10 in x10 mode share $2,800 worth of energy • Top 1 in x100 mode gets $700 worth of energy

So yeah, Waifu Slayer is honestly a great competition, especially now that the team carefully reviews results before distributing rewards. If you want to compete, here are my few tips: - Always keep extra energy for revives. The first revive costs 50 energy, the second costs 75, and it keeps increasing (It will also be multiplied by the mode you are playing). - Don’t rush your runs, but don’t play too slowly either. Efficient and consistent clears are the best way to climb. - Try getting NFTs. Any rarity helps a lot with survivability, especially Mythic NFTs that give 1 shield every run. - You don't need to clear everything to get the max gold per run, you just need to reveal all the monsters before killing the darklord. - And most importantly: don’t forget to OPT-IN to the leaderboard. Only multiplier modes officially announced each week are eligible. The grind continues. Let’s see how far I can push in this game.
