Yep, I admit that I haven't been around much lately. Like many people, I sometimes feel the need to take a break from social media. It’s a way of looking after myself, and I’m sure many people will understand that. I’ve started working on a few indie games, as well as for a game publisher. This has opened up a few opportunities for me. It will allow me to gain more experience for my visual novel project. Sooner or later, I think I'll get into narrative games. Now that the FGO story is over, I’d like to tackle subjects other than FGO, although I’ll continue playing it for as long as it exists. The TM universe is an interesting topic, but unfortunately, discussing a finished work too much gives things away and spoils the experience for other readers. It's hard to discuss theories once the work is finished and the answers are known. To keep this account going - and simply because I feel like it - I’m going to start sharing reviews or introductions of various games I enjoy, while continuing to share FGO news. Rest assured, you won't be inundated with tweets on this subject. Many of you follow me solely for FGO updates, and I promise not to spam your timeline! Finally, in answer to a common question: No, I don’t want to talk about other games with a gacha economy. Gachas aren’t a genre of game; they’re a predatory economic system. I want to distance myself from that, even though my love for FGO makes it a personal exception for me. This is just my personal view, though - everyone is free to do as they please, and I would never blame anyone for enjoying games with a gacha. Take care and see you soon!

#MHStories3 After 50 hours of gameplay, I have finished the story, built a decent team and acquired a good stuff. I have to admit that Monster Hunter Stories 3 is probably my Game of the Year for 2026.. There’s still so much left to do in the game, and it looks like an update or DLC is on the cards (rumour has it). Also, Simon is my precious favourite character.

#FATALFRAMEIIREMAKE Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake Review - Two twins find themselves in a mysterious abandoned village deep in the Japanese countryside, with a very special camera as their only weapon against the spectral entities that dwell there… Discover all the psychological horror of this remake of one of the PlayStation 2’s hidden gems from 2003. Mio and Mayu are twin sisters who, after crossing a dark forest in the depths of the Japanese countryside, reach the cursed village of Minakami. This place is notorious for trapping strangers. Soon, the twins are attacked by a ghost. As you explore the village, you will discover its history through forgotten diaries, ghostly visions, and unsettling encounters with its vanished inhabitants. By following the crimson butterfly, you will trace the trail of a sordid ritual that lies at the root of the curse... Faced with ghosts, who are often malevolent and fiercely aggressive, your only weapon will be the Camera Obscura, a device that can exorcise these entities. Whilst you may be tempted to take photos from a distance at first – particularly as our young protagonist, Mio, isn’t particularly good at dodging and fleeing from supernatural beings – you’ll soon have to switch to a different strategy… To inflict maximum damage, you need to frame the spectre in your shot and wait for the perfect moment to take the photograph. Unlike many other games in the same genre, Fatal Frame II forces you to confront your enemies directly rather than avoiding them. As you explore the village, you’ll acquire various types of film and filter, each offering a different shot and affecting either the reload time or the damage dealt. Although the gameplay concept is original, the actual gameplay can sometimes feel clunky. Mio moves particularly slowly, whilst the spirits can move very quickly – and even teleport – making gameplay feel a bit tedious at times when you find yourself in a confined space. Furthermore, the battles drag on a bit too long, replacing the sense of horror with a laborious photographic dance. Nevertheless, skilful use of the various filters and film effects can help you overcome this difficulty. The central theme of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE is exploring the cursed village. In order to understand the tragedy that has befallen the village and its inhabitants, you must explore every house in great detail, searching for clues, key items and documents that recount the horror that has struck the place. That's probably what really hooked me on this game. There’s a heavy sense of doubt and morbid curiosity. You never know whether you’re going to stumble upon something that will help you progress through the story, or something that will do everything in its power to stop you. You want to understand what happened in Minakami village and Mayu's strange behaviour. Visually, Fatal Frame II boasts a stunning art style that is sure to delight fans of classic Japanese horror cinema. The textures are finely crafted, and the level of detail is impressive. This enhances the sense of immersion and the desire to explore the village, which has a particularly powerful nostalgic charm. The setting effectively conveys the sense of an ordinary life that has been turned upside down overnight, and I particularly enjoyed being able to imagine life in Minakami before the tragedy. The subtle visual grain lends an 'old cinema' feel that I love. Visually, it's a triumph in my eyes! As for the music and sound effects, it’s almost too quiet. The music is light, and the ambient sounds are perfectly in keeping with a horror title. This only serves to heighten the sense of immersion, letting you hear the floor creaking beneath your tentative footsteps, the unsettling sound of the wind, or the dark whispers of spirits. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE has a nostalgic feel, with revamped gameplay and simple mechanics. It offers an engaging experience for fans of the original PlayStation 2 title, as well as those looking for a fresh horror experience with retro gameplay. The tragic narrative and art direction complement each other perfectly, compelling players to cling to their camera and uncover the truth about the ritual that led to the downfall of Minakami village and the fate of the twins. Genres: Survival-horror, Photography game Release date: March 12, 2026 Platforms: Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Developer: Team Ninja Publisher: Koei Tecmo
