On March 21st we celebrate our Reconnaissance #Marines whose job series identifier is 0321.
Reconnaissance units serve as the commander’s ears and eyes on the battlefield.
Composed of highly trained Marines organized into small, specialized teams, they are capable of executing complex missions deep behind enemy lines.

Post surgery occupational health assessment complete.
‘How did the medical go, Sergeant Major?’
‘The physio declared me safe to carry a rubber rifle, Sir.’
‘Ha! Sounds about your level.’
‘Different levels of assessment, Sir. Officers are given rubber pistols.’

Chuck Norris didn't join the Marine Corps...the Marine Corps applied to him.
Heaven’s streets have always been guarded by Marines. Today, Chuck Norris reported for duty.
We mourn the passing of Chuck Norris, a @usairforce veteran, who also became an honorary Marine in 2007 when awarded the title by then Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. James T. Conway.
Chuck Norris is one of just over 100 individuals to be awarded the title of Honorary Marine in the entire 250-year history of the Corps.
Some missions may require a battalion, but this one just requires an Honorary Marine.

@ed800m @Tigga594 @Jimmyocx3 Hi Guys, Ward Carrol's latest post. For us old timers, eh?. The young guys will enjoy also. Is an internal mental comparison / contrast of the combat power used in the Falklands? Definitely I'm not wanting to open old wounds. youtube.com/watch?v=Yy5IpU…

Sad to hear military is retiring its fleet of Land Rovers.
As a young airman on Tactical Communications Wing 82-6 I spent a huge portion of my life in them.
2 memories:
1. Working with the 47 Sqn Herc SF Flight post Falklands-war, practicing running off-loads & extractions of 'Airhead Party' during endless (and vomit-inducing) tac landings & take-offs
2. Demonstrating a 'hand-brake' turn at end of runway - not fully understanding the handbrake actually locked the transmission: managed to flip it over on side blocking RW for hours. Got charged & fined £60!
Still got commissioned later: RAF not too picky in 80s!

@JohnNicholRAF Maybe they can let you buy a well used one for the commute to the RAF Club! 👍🏻

I think that my great friend @seandilleyNEWS (even without his brilliant Guide Dog Shawn) is still a FAR better driver than some I know! 😂
Not sure how poor old Lisa coped!
Sean Dilley NEWS@seandilleyNEWS
What happens when a totally blind guy says "I'll drive" the bumper car demolition derby at Dollywood in the USA? Luckily we can wonder no more. Poor Lisa is guide driving.

@ed800m @Tigga594 @LydiardsWay @poetwithpace @j_ashworth656 I'll help, I have awesome map reading skills. Just look back a few tweets!

@Tigga594 @LydiardsWay @poetwithpace @j_ashworth656 🙄 'tis a screenshot of the map on Garmin. The different colours show different paces. You could ask one of your offspring to explain what that means while you are resting in your favourite/frequent spot. 😎👉
