@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 Posting online is a wonderful thing in itself! But if the chance ever comes for you to participate as a circle, I really hope you’ll give it a shot!
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 Yes 🥰🥰
haha I'm too slow of an artist unfortunately but hopefully one day! But tbh I'd probably just post it online for free lol
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 Yeah, I guess applying as a circle is a pretty high hurdle… Especially since there’s not much support for foreign languages, so it must be tough. In any case, it’s truly wonderful to create something out of love for a series!
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 Ah, no, I have no idea how to do that unfortunately haha. I did help my friend at ComicUp 32 Pre in China, but that's it.
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 That’s so cool! Did you ever have your own booth at a con? Dealing with all the interaction sounds like a huge challenge, though! I’m decent at drawing, but writing fiction is on a whole different level of difficulty for me! lol
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 NO WAY LOL.
I've been writing my own fanfiction though!! I only drew for my previous 推しカップル though...
日本語

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 You're definitely the real deal! Pretty soon, you'll be like a Zen master who can live solely on the vibes of your OTP without even needing food! lol
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 Yeah, I've lived there for a total of three years or so haha. I'm a veteran fujoshi! ^o^
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 3,000 yen per table?! That’s a total rip-off! lol Especially for a huge event like SuperComi, you definitely need a better proxy... And wait, you were living in Japan until 3 days ago? That explains why you're such an expert on the scene! I'm shocked!
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 I need to find a proxy for SuperComi because my previous proxy is charging 3000 yen per table at the Touhou event 😵💫 I left Japan 3 days ago (living there for a year)
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 That actually makes a lot of sense. If you keep collecting fandoms like this, you’re going to end up sweeping the whole catalog at every event! lol Actually, it sounds like you’ve already crossed the point of no return! lol
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 Nah, people just generally don't stay interested in one thing that long. Especially with short form media killing people's attention spans. I pick up series then basically never leave, so I end up having to shop for 8+ series every comic market lol.
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 I knew Taiwan’s doujin scene was thriving, but I didn’t know China had that kind of energy as well. With the community being so closed and all the "censorship" going on, I bet finding those books is like hunting for a legendary item! lol
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 The rarest stuff is always from China or Taiwan... 🤣 I was able to wait for Japanese doujinshi after years, but the Chinese ones are gone forever. Hong Kong used to have doujinshi stores but they're all closed now because of China...
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 Maybe it’s because we have such a huge supply here in Japan? From what I’ve heard, switching pairings or genres so easily isn’t exactly welcomed here, especially among fujoshis. I’m not an expert on the inner workings of it all, though.
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 For the last line, I am referring to doujin goods haha. Very rare novelty goods... people don't even *remember* Min's name! I am so disappointed. Most otaku only hyperfixate for 2~3 years then leave.
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 That sounds like a real emergency! lol Hope you cross paths with some legendary doujinshi soon! lol
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 Yes hahaha. The Chinese fujoshi also tell me I'm ヤバイ lol. But I am starving for my CP so I become less picky lol
日本語

@Snegglepuss85 @lapin__avarie Japanese fujoshis are way too hardcore lol. Honestly, I’d be shaking in my boots if any of them caught me talking like this!
English

@fechirin @lapin__avarie Being strict about top or bottom always seemed weird to me, as a bisexual man. Even if one or the other is usually on top, it doesn't feel right to never give the other their "turn". Well, that and the two sensations are different, so the bottom should also take care of the top
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 The scene overseas seems so much more peaceful... And the guys' side is peaceful too. As long as it's hot, everything's okay.
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 For my current CP, Snape/Harry, the group chat is 1100 people and the bottom Harry and bottom Snape fans generally co-exist peacefully. ☺️
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 I'm sure you know the Japanese event scene well enough that I don't even need to say it—but in Japan, that would be a total "Jihad," lol.
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 In North America, people hate other pairings with rival characters instead lol.
So if you like RinHaru, the war is mostly against MakoHaru fans. A minority of the HaruRin fans cannot tolerate RinHaru, but in N. America, RinHaru and HaruRin fans are in one big group chat.
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 I even went all the way to China to buy Chinese doujinshi! they were very alarmed because I was friends with people on both ends of the aisle (reversed CP) hahaha
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 My bad! Fujoshis are everywhere in Japan, so I totally stereotyped you lol. My apologies! Still, it blows my mind that fans overseas are so chill about who's on top or bottom. In Japan, the war between shipping preferences is like a bottomless abyss. We just can’t coexist!
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 Oh, no, western fujoshi generally don't care who tops lol.
Chinese and Koreans care, but we only care if it's in-character.
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 You know, us Japanese aren't exactly known for our foreign language skills lol. Anyway, if you happen to be a girl, checking the content is a must. If you mess up and buy a reverse pairing by mistake, it's such a disaster you might as well set the doujinshi on fire! lol
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 I go up to tables and ask them for a book synopsis, but they never tell me, it's so frustrating... 😂 I can't use AI tools in the middle of Tokyo Big Sight hahaha
English

@lapin__avarie @Snegglepuss85 My bad! I definitely didn't mean to question your dedication. You’re the gold standard of an otaku! AI tools have gotten so handy recently—it might be a bit of a hassle, but it’s probably easier now for people abroad to get a sense of what's inside.
English

@fechirin @Snegglepuss85 I already bought 8 shelves of doujinshi legally lol.
but since I can't read most of Japanese, or it takes me a long time, I can't find doujinka I like unless I read the translations first.
since no translations are available for 文豪ストレ DJ, I just don't buy them.
