@fabian_mack @soft_atrocity @TexasABC i know this, i have a tabc seller-server certification
but again, the difference isn't relevant in casual conversation
you knew exactly what i was talking about when i said "license"
English

@fhwei_ @soft_atrocity “Certification” is for servers (retail/on-premise) who passed a course & will serve alcohol to customers
“Permit” is for a retail/on-premise business that will sell alcohol to customers
“License” is not used in @TexasABC guidelines, other than describing a beer-related permit
English

found the scans on their site and this is some of the most condescending, infantilizing shit i've ever seen lmao. the concept of leaving these at any bar, let alone a bar entirely populated by leftists who are universally more educated than you on these topics

English

@lithiatedyke well when you put it like that it doesn't sound so bad...
English

@fhwei_ Yea that's the point. It hurts good and restrains me to a certain degree
English

@fabian_mack i was speaking specifically about texas because that's what i know, i wasn't under the impression that they were from/in texas
English

@fhwei_ In case you didn’t notice, the user that posted this is based in Toronto, so that means he’s most likely at a Canadian restaurant, so the chances are probably pretty good that that practice is legal there;you might want to do a little bit better research next time before you post
English

pretty sure this is illegal in texas
the alcoholic beverage code prohibits seller-servers from soliciting alcohol from customers or asking customers if they can pay for an employee's drink

More restaurants should offer this.

@salingergregor not to imply that i think europeans are stupid (i'm a pick-me american) but who the hell has AC in their garage
no house i have ever lived in has had AC in the garage, and i've lived in areas that routinely get up to 90°F (~32°C) in may

@fabian_mack @soft_atrocity legally yes, but colloquially it's a distinction without a difference

@Sosaurorahoh @failmoder sorry to burst your bubble but it'll be another 10 years before we see a winter storm of that scale
English

@arainydancer you can do the same to the LMGs, but there's diminishing returns at that point (30 -> 90 is much more impactful than 100 -> 300, even though both are x3, because 100 is usually enough to kill a few enemies before reloading)
English

@arainydancer speaking about multiplayer shooters, i think part of the reason is game balance. like, in bf4 for example, a 90-round AEK-971 would be cool, but it would give even less of a reason to use the LMGs (which are already mostly seen as slightly worse ARs with larger mags)
