You always hear "take Trump seriously not literally" (which doesn't seem unreasonable), but for now, I don't think Wall Street is taking this aspect of the incoming administration seriously (or literally). I think people think it's a talking point, like Mexico paying for the wall

the typical wall street take on the election seems to be that they're happy biden is leaving and they are looking forward to their imagined version of trump who doesn't do 60% tariffs or mass deportation is taking office

Apparently 'extreme' according to Peter Dutton is Australia voting with 156 countries (and many allied nations/partners) at the UN. It's extreme now to be on the right side of an issue, along with the vast majority of the world, because Israel and the US don't agree.
