I feel like over the last couple of years, this “only play Mario and Zelda” stigma only came up because people (like myself) really just want to see the next 3D Mario. 90% of Nintendo fans play tons of other franchises but we get looped into the “only like Mario and Zelda” group just because it’s approaching a decade since the last 3D Mario and we really want to see it. I am STOKED for a new star fox, Splatoon raiders, and rhythm heaven groove but yes, I’m going to be constantly curious and wanting to learn about one of Nintendos biggest IPs being 3D Mario. 9/10 years is a VERY long time for ANY new game so yes, it’s reasonable to be a little annoyed about it.

Millennials need to gtfo over Lord of the Rings. I watched the Fellowship over Xmas for the first time since I was a kid. The acting is god awful and the pacing is insane (as are the cuts to new scenes). Ian McKellen, Christopher Lee+Sean Bean are the redeeming things about it
