@MoveItJo Le matcha, j'en buvais déjà il y a une vingtaine d'années, et je n'ai jamais ajouté de lait ni de sucre. Dans aucun autre thé non plus, d'ailleurs. En revanche, j'ai une sainte horreur du café.

I’m annoyed at this breaking containment because now people genuinely think Zayne is getting pegged and it turned into the same tired otome discourse which devolves both into misogyny of not finding female protagonist enough and homophobia towards players so- No Zayne is not getting pegged, his girlfriend massaged him then likely touched his ass and he flipped out then went on to fuck her. Despite some fans enjoying the idea of pegging that isn’t in the game itself. Fanon does not change what is happening in the game, but fans can do whatever in their own space. Yes, the protagonist Main Character can only be a woman in the game because that’s the basis of the Otome genre which translates to “Maiden” game. If you want to head canon a different gender for your character that is your personal playthrough that no one else is allowed to dictate, but that does not change the canon and most players who do headcanon other genders understand the importance of MC being a woman as it informs her story and was written and developed by a majority women dev team. Frustratingly some LADS Players can be homophobic and that is extremely vile when anyone can play a game. The canon protagonist is not changing, so leave other players alone you bigoted fucking idiots. No one is invading the otome space, people of all identities and sexualities can play anything and enjoy the canon. For the people saying that the game needs a male protagonist etc that IS a misogynistic sentiment because you’re saying a female main character is not enough for her own story and in a genre made by women for women? That for some reason there is something lacking when a story has a female protagonist. The majority of the development team are women and that is a big component as to why the game is so successful in showing the power of the women’s market (BUT ALSO no one should police who is allowed to play the game). Women in gaming are consistently overlooked, underfunded and have their interests ridiculed. LADS being an insanely successful adult IP made for the women’s market is helping change the current and it would do better and be less misogynistic if you didn’t keep acting like you’re saying the game is somehow lesser for having a set protagonist who is a woman. And finally, on people thinking this scene or some fans pegging headcanons automatically aligns to homosexuality - why can’t a woman want to touch her man? A man in a heterosexual relationship is also no less heterosexual if he did engage in receiving anal sex from his female partner. If you think touching a man ass (AND AGAIN they don’t even have penetrative anal sex with him receiving, that is NOT something that exists in the game) automatically makes him gay then that’s a very skewed view of sexuality. Sexuality is based on your PARTNER and who you are attracted to. Lesbian women who use dildos are no less lesbian just because they engage in penetrative sex. Just as straight men are no less straight if they do either. So much of the discourse around the game that either insults its existence or the female protagonist DOES devolve into or sit rooted in misogyny. If you take such issue with a female protagonist in a successful romance game why are you even looking at a genre specifically made to have a female protagonist (pronouns aside)? Women never have these expectations of male orientated romance games, but also they’re also not made with the same kind of romantic development that appeals to players more inclined to the female gaze. Men DO have a plethora of dating simulation games, and if you want a dating sim without a set gendered protagonist or something that is explicitly queer/gay, there are games that exist that provide that. We should be wanting MORE games with diverse representation, not decrying and belittling the importance of a female protagonist in a story made by women when women are already treated like shit in the gaming space. There is no excuse for homophobia OR misogyny.

@KeruboSk I've been taking Propranolol 160mg for more than 20 years because i suffer from very incapacitating migraines triggered by perfumes (almost all of them), cleaning products, cigarette smoke... The only times i ask people not to wear perfume is when they get in my car...

PLEASE stop wearing strong perfumes. It’s honestly really inconsiderate to people who get migraines, you have no idea how painful that smell can be 😩

I gave my son a phone when he was 12 cause he had to go to school on his own, so he sent me texts to reassure me. It had strict parental control, time limits... But once in high school, my son asked for more privacy.

But I also have examples of kids who had a very strict education and ended up doing drugs and alcohol behind their parents' back once in high school. So there's no perfect education I'm afraid... we just all try our best.

@Bts_Mdzslifer @BlackRoseWrts As for Roblox, it was several years ago & i didn't know there was an online chat. I tried to keep an eye on the games my son was playing in Roblox but I couldn't watch all the time. My husband died when my son was 2 so I've always had to deal with everything on my own.

@Bts_Mdzslifer @BlackRoseWrts Depends how old your kids are. Mine is 16. He didn't mind me monitoring everything until he went to high school. Now he still can't download an app without my approvement, but i don't spy on his texts to his friends or gf for example, he's entitled to have his inner sanctrum.

My nephew is 9, he doesn't have a phone & his parents are very vigilant, yet he told my son he played a very violent game on his 10yo cousin's phone when the two are at their grandmother's. 😔

@BlackRoseWrts Aww thanks! It's harder to control his use of Internet now, though. His phone has a fingerprint identification, he made me reduce the parental control saying that it was "policing", that i didn't trust him... etc.

@framb83 Yeah, I mean, the very real, sad truth is that it does happen, which is why it's so important for parents not to rely on age ratings for things (as you discovered). I'm glad your son has a watchful caring mother. 🫂

@BlackRoseWrts Yeah, LADS was 13+ in France, and my son (who often hears me rambling about Zayne or helps me with the orbit trials 😁) found it "outrageous" that it was not rated 18+. It's rated 16+ now, but still... and the description doesn't really make it sound like an "adult game" either..

That's interesting. Ratings are so wildly different across countries. Like LADS, I think, is 18+ in China, but in the US it's 13+, because it doesn't contain anything that would trigger an 18+ rating here (extreme violence/gore, sexual nudity, loads of foul language, etc) I personally don't think its appropriate for a 13 year old to play, and if I had kids I absolutely would not let them play this (or a plethora of other T-rated games that I enjoy as an adult 🤣), but the fact of the matter is that the ratings are earned through very specific means, so in the US LADS doesn't trigger that "adult content" rating. People assume (not you, just in general) that the game companies themselves set the ratings, but that's not how it works.

@BlackRoseWrts Chatted with girls that age and younger. Once he earned their trust he asked for compromising vids and stuff. Police found hundreds and hundreds of these at his place. 😱 that story obviously made me think of that chat history of my son i had found out on Roblox...

@BlackRoseWrts I was vigilant, but had i not found out by chance about these online chats, who knows what could have happened. 🫤 The 19yo girl told my son she was in love with him, and he confided in her (pretending he was 16) and maybe she (or he?) was even much older and a predator. 🫤

@BlackRoseWrts Ah, yeah, i got internet at 17, first mobile at 20 & only 5 public channels on tv, so my parents didn't have much to worry about on this side. 😆 Roblox just says "parental consent recommended" here. 🫤 I wish they had warned there was online chat& games not appropriate for kids.
