@ADOUZiE The western teams especially drive no significant viewership, a big reason for partner system is more there for guaranteed high tier orgs so the esport "looks good" and is "global".

@ADOUZiE You are right that its basically closed system and non partner teams have a hard time. Problem is these teams add "nothing" for krafton, I would argue even the partner teams basically add nothing except a few Asian ones and one-off teams who have personalities like TGLTN.

Congratulations to FS and VP they definitely deserved the partnership. But 12 global partners with PGS invite system for the first six months overload the entire system and essentially turn the esport into a closed league. Because of that, statements about PUBG Esports becoming “more open” to new players by introducing the TPP format sound contradictory and meaningless. The chances for a new team are extremely small. And even if a new roster manages to qualify for a LAN and performs well there, it may not truly matter in the long term. PUBG Esports needs a transparent global ranking system that is tied primarily to players rather than organizations. The formula should be clear and understandable so that any viewer can calculate team standings themselves. This ranking should be publicly displayed and updated after every tournament giving fans something real to follow and care about. Tournament invitations should be based strictly on this ranking. All other teams should go through qualifiers. LAN slots should increase or decrease depending on each region’s performance. If the GPT partnership concept is considered essential, then limit it to one GPT team per region for example, the PGC champion and perhaps one additional team based on the previous year’s results. All remaining tournament slots should be earned through regional competition. Strengthen the regional scene. Fans don’t want to watch a LAN event where the participants are already known months in advance. Esports is exciting when new teams emerge and earn their place on the big stage. Right now, the real competition between teams is happening at the negotiation table in Krafton’s office, not on the battleground.

High guard was the strangest game I've played. Game goal/ loop felt really off in so many ways, they tried to mix too many things. Shooting in an fps game HAVE to FEEL GREAT, here it felt ok until you pressed mouse 1 then everything went haywire 🤣 Quick uninstall for me

In CS we get to experience championship Sunday every few weeks. In games like LoL they get it three or four times a year and have to convince themselves that makes it more special. Does watching a great movie every every three weeks suck more than watching one every three months?

Getting sick right before PGC finals and staying sick through this TPP event is brutal worst timing ever 😔 Made it through the whole year without getting sick at events, but I guess it catches everyone eventually 🥲 If I learned anything from this TPP event.. holy shit I’m behind on TPP mechanics. Gonna be grinding hard when I’m home.

@nickslax34 @SimplyMatthias They/we did for years, we were the reason it went to fpp to begin with, but now pubg seemed to have said fuckit we go tpp no matter what, and then current pros just have to decide do they want to play at all or not, ofc most of them will choose to play.

@dohfOs Yah this is different and clearly a push for it. And EA was just acquired by Saudi wich is pushing esport alot. But yes it is very evident EA haven't fought in that arena.

@fuzzface49 to be fair, EA haven't given many (if any) fucks about BF esports ever since they bought DICE some 22-23 or so years ago with a purchase that almost killed the bf1942 scene. there's been BF esports since, but not because it was well supported by the people behind the game.

So Redsec Open was delayed, Elite series(invited content creators) started and then canceled midway through the day (no date when resumed), some teams stopped playing after a few rounds, no official cast or leaderboard. ALOT to figure out if they want it to be esport.
