@HenryCH910 @nikicaga The government tried to overhaul 7 articles of the constitution, using the separation of careers as a smokescreen to put the justice system under the thumb of the ruling majority. But the 'no' votes won and the reform crashed. This is a huge win for Italian democracy

@Veli_no @CrusaderBear333 @MVP1RACING I said "many discoveries made by women" I wasn't talking about discoveries in general. Within the group of discoveries made by women, MANY were credited to men. Whether it's 8 in 19 or 100 in 10k, we don't know for sure, and many will probably never be known that's the point
English

@giyksh @CrusaderBear333 @MVP1RACING No compare these numbers to that of all innovators and ask yourself if the number of women us significant in this case
It’s good to acknowledge women for their contributions to science, but to say many innovations are from women is an exaggeration
Hence my original comment
English

@Veli_no @CrusaderBear333 @MVP1RACING Google was created by 2 men, don't worry. and it's free to use! Still, even if there were fewer than 3 dozen, it’s too many. And those are just some of the documented ones 💀💀💀💀. My final word on this

@CrusaderBear333 @NimiNouV @MVP1RACING As a girl in STEM, I know you can find a study for any bias online, but this one is solid. It shows the math gender gap fades as socio-cultural equality grows. Since we’re not at parity yet, any "biological" comparison is simply inconsistent science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
English

Nah you’re wrong on that
While there have been women throughout history that have pioneered certain inventions and scientific fields, in modern times with women being allowed to do whatever they want, they haven’t dominated in any STEM fields.
They actually revert back to the jobs they’ve been working for as long as they could work. Nursing, secretarial, social work.
This has been proven
It’s almost like men and women are different
English

@CrusaderBear333 @NimiNouV @MVP1RACING Social barriers still discourage girls from pursuing STEM, and they often don’t reach top roles due to workplace disparities, pay gaps, and bias. Men and women aren’t naturally better at science or arts, skills are personal. What matters is the social and cultural context
English

@Veli_no @CrusaderBear333 @MVP1RACING why? we cannot know the exact number, of course, but we do know for sure that dozens of discoveries initially credited to men were made with crucial contributions or support from women who received no recognition. so sayng it "many" isn’t inaccurate 🧐
English

@CrusaderBear333 @MVP1RACING if we’re being completely honest, many discoveries made by women were credited to men (husbands or colleagues) because they wouldn’t have been taken seriously. Men and women have the same cognitive potential, what makes the difference are economic and social opportunities🥲
English

@CrusaderBear333 @MVP1RACING That’s why inventions made by women in the past have even more value — because they were made with much more difficulty. Don’t brag about being part of a group of "smart people" if you can’t even understand something this simple.
