STATE OF THE PRODUCT JOB MARKET IN EARLY 2026
In spite of the headlines about layoffs and AI taking jobs, we’re actually seeing a lot of promising signs in tech hiring, and some interesting new trends:
1. PM openings are at the highest levels we’ve seen in over three years
2. AI hasn’t slowed the demand for software engineers (at least not yet)
3. AI roles in general are absolutely exploding
4. Design roles have plateaued
5. The Bay Area is increasing in importance
6. Remote work opportunities continue to decline
7. Despite ongoing layoffs, the overall number of tech jobs continues to grow

❗️Russian and Belarusian athletes who fought in the war against Ukraine have been admitted to the Milan Paralympics. They will also compete under their own flags. Russian Paralympic Committee said that about 500 war veterans are already part of the country's Paralympic teams.

Stop standing with Ukraine and start fighting with Ukraine! Cut off Russia's ability to fund its war machine and give Ukraine the weapons it needs to defend itself. Both of these things could be done today and save countless innocent lives. Instead, more talk.

Why has Trump's year of negotiations been the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion? The number of deaths and injuries has increased by 31 percent compared to the previous year.
Why did Putin not allow himself such brutal strikes on civilian infrastructure under Biden, whom Trump calls “weak,” but totally destroys peaceful cities and disregards the “strong Trump”?

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis just torched Stephen Miller:
“You know what makes me cranky? Stupid. You don’t speak on behalf of this U.S. senator or Congress. You can say it may be the position of the president that Greenland should be part of the U.S., but it is NOT the position of this government. We are a co-equal branch.”
That’s a Republican senator drawing a hard constitutional line and calling out the White House for pretending Congress doesn’t exist.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton called it America’s war: he believes that the United States is obligated to defend Ukraine.
Clinton:

In 1994, the US provided security assurances to Ukraine in exchange for nuclear disarmament, but didn't hold up our end of the bargain when Russia invaded under Obama in 2014.
Biden compounded this failure by giving Ukraine just enough support to survive, but not win.
American credibility is on the line. Ukraine needs ironclad security guarantees to deter Putin & restore European security.

Their territory had been occupied, their children have been kidnapped. Their citizens are killed in acts of terrorism all night. Which side are you on?
