Everyone points to Libya vs North Korea: Gaddafi gave up his nuclear ambitions, and was later killed after NATO bombing, while the other operates with impunity, with nobody seriously talking about any military conflict against North Korea

It's incredible May-Christmas: ocean, mountains, rural country farms, multiple states with different vibes, drivable to New York/Boston/Canada. Taxes are too high and should have a Maratime time zone--an hour earlier than Eastern. Sun comes up too early in summer and depressingly late in winter.
