iowa,
if you recruit for your system, you know who you want, if you recruit for stars, you get what you pay for, if you blend the two philosophies and still can’t put a conference or national contender on the field every year after 27 years, you’re a fucking joke #GBR
English

he didn’t make us have to vacate four wins over two years, but yeah, we all hope he finds the right place
Hawkeye Insano@HawkeyeInsano
It’s been glorious to see Husker fans free from the muzzle of defending Raiola 😂
English

@brianferentz_oc you curb stomped an ass team so by definition you are slightly better than ass
English

@hellofreshen Iowa curb stomped Nebraska so we’re not slightly better than ass.
English

hot take, a team with an 8-win expectation and a 9-win ceiling is comical looking down on a 7-6 team, let that settle in

@hellofreshen @Crimson_Peej @SlaterKinnick_ Iowa has definitely been above average or mid during Ferentz’s tenure meanwhile Nebraska extends a 7-6 head coach and the kids can rush the field after becoming bowl eligible.
English

@brianferentz_oc i’m arguing nebraska being ass, we are, i’m arguing you are just slightly better than ass which is funny
English

@hellofreshen lol. Look at the schedule. Nebraska was boat raced by most teams with a pulse.
English

@brianferentz_oc last year is not an anomaly, you haven’t won a conference title in 22 years and the last time you played for it you lost and had wins vacated, iowa has been steady underachieving for decades now
English

@brianferentz_oc hotter take, that’s indicative of where we are as a program, you had seven players drafted and went 9-4 last season, epic fraudulence
English

@hellofreshen Hot take, 7 wins has been Nebraska’s ceiling for a decade. In 2026 your ceiling may be 5 or 6.
English

kirk ferentz was three years old the last time iowa won a national championship

@hellofreshen @Crimson_Peej @SlaterKinnick_ Nobody lives in distant past better than Husker fans.
English

Husker fans doing victory laps over an Iowa player not getting drafted is rich
Especially considering he beat them, and they only had 1 player drafted
Default@FortDefault
@HuskersMN One of them not being Gronowski is pretty funny

@brianferentz_oc @Crimson_Peej @SlaterKinnick_ you’re technically right his win % is .620 (adjusted for vacated wins), so you got me there, osborne was over .800 with three titles in five tries, so by comparison KF is the definition of mid. dont worry rhule has plenty of time to compare himself to your best coach ever
English

@hellofreshen @Crimson_Peej @SlaterKinnick_ Iowa has definitely been above average or mid during Ferentz’s tenure meanwhile Nebraska extends a 7-6 head coach and the kids can rush the field after becoming bowl eligible.
English

@brianferentz_oc @Crimson_Peej @SlaterKinnick_ what’s funny about that is KF got the iowa job in 1999, nebraska’s last natty was 1997. he’s been there 27 years and has a resume that’d be superb in the fcs, but in the big leagues he’s been mid for as long as nebraska has been bad, so yeah too bad for the kids
English

@hellofreshen @Crimson_Peej @SlaterKinnick_ Too bad for Nebraska fans not old enough to remember 1997.

@MAGA_Bill_ @SlaterKinnick_ what a strong point you made seven hours after i posted, and you’re completely right so now i guess i’m a hawkeye fan, thanks for helping me see the light with your crass six word response that took you one third of an entire day to craft, were the same now
English

with two conference titles in three
appearances, a healthy list of great assistants, one heisman finalist, four vacated wins, zero cfp appearances and a .500 bowl record in 27 years
iowa is literally the only B1G team that would tolerate this
Brendan Stiles@thebstiles
Kirk Ferentz has now had 100 players at Iowa drafted into the NFL. The first was Austin Wheatley, who was drafted in 2000 by New Orleans. TJ Hall is No. 100 and he just went to New Orleans.
