The week before Halloween and 2nd graders were doing Keva Plank challenges and 4th graders learned about the way social media can make us feel, listened to Crankenstein, and then made fidgets that can be used to help manage BIG feelings. @summitbees #InnovationInAction 🎃

Third graders learned about cardboard attachment techniques without hot glue. Now they are making cardboard houses to display for the holidays. @summitbees @SummitPTA

Week 11 in the iLab. K-1 learning coding with Colby kits. Grade 6 building Lego mechanisms that represent a cheering crowd. @summitbees @SummitPTA

Week 10 in Summit iLab. 4th made fidgid spinners for their class cool down boxes. K-2 had Halloween related Keva plank challenges. @summitbees @SummitPTA

Grades kindergarten through 3rd grade are exploring coding stations. They get to explore Osmo, Ozobot, Botly, Colby, Cubits, the Quiver VR app, sphero, and Dash. They are having a blast. @summitbees @SummitPTA

Kindergartners and first graders built peace trees. They only had 16 pipe cleaners and paper leaves. They did great engineering these little trees. @summitbees @SummitPTA

2nd grade built their 3 Little Pig houses and this was testing week. We used our leaf blower a.k.a. Wolf to see if our houses stood. Needless to say our wolf went away hungry! @summitbees @SummitPTA

We’ve been busy these last few weeks in the iLab. Let’s start with 6th grade. We have all our battlebot champs (only shared a few pics)and we’ve been busy building Lego Derby Cars and testing them. @summitbees @SummitPTA

K-1 were given the design challenge to build a house that had 4 sides, a roof, and covered the pig with 40 Keva planks. @SummitPTA @summitbees

5th and 6th graders had their Battle Bot finals. Winners take home a 3D printed trophy. They love this project. @SummitPTA @summitbees

5th grade started their sphero Battle Bot battles last week. They love this so much! Let the games begin!!! @SummitPTA @summitbees
