Y'all keep misunderstanding this. Airbending is the form. NOT the ability. Lion turtles bestowed the ABILITY to manipulate the elements. There was no form to it. It was a tool. Humans watching dragons, sky bisons, the moon and badger moles is how they developed techniques that became the bending. So in short. Lion turtles gave the ability to manipulate the elements. But observing the animals and moon is how they developed the manipulation into techniques.
