@wuffspepstar @butleriano My gripes with communism are not its description of capitalistic excesses but rather its insistence on viewing anything and everything thru a material lens. Nothing Marx or Engels empirically describe ever gave them the right to make such wider claims.

@idekeitherman @butleriano Scientific socialism conceives a theoretical system that transcends these inefficiencies inherent to capitalism.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano There is quite a leap between calling it a core feature of capitalism (which I am quite sympathetic to) and calling it the be all and end all of political cleavage formation. You should read up on the Freiburg School for actual economic policy targeting these injustices.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano It’s as if I were to describe the issue of racism in modern societies and then claim that every political act follows this racism cleavage. It’s asinine and completely misplaced. And in the case of Marxism, it’s also hilariously dated. Hence why the PRC deviated long ago.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano we are arguing about completely different things. I do not accept that the discovery of a single, temporarily limited societal ill (worker exploitation) is enough to justify the restructuring of every political problem around that ill. Marxisms claim of totality is ridiculous.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano There is no ‘relevance’ threshold since the pseudoscientific nature of Marxist literature is just as much ideologically driven drivel as fascist literature. There is no core truth to find there except for Engels description of the lives of English workers in the 1840s.

@idekeitherman @butleriano Well, maybe, if Mein Kampf contains relevant information. In his works, Lenin explains his conclusions and analyses the economic and political realities of his time. I don't feel like reciting his arguments near-verbatim 280 characters at a time when you could read him yourself.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano case in point. citing fucking lenin about something that only came to be in the 1970s. this is actually the most insane case of sheepish deference I’ve ever seen. If a nazi cites mein kampf, does that give his position legitimacy?
*@idekeitherman

@SqwertSSBM @OOCcommunism do you not get tired of not thinking critically for urself? any and every position you hold was bundled together by someone else. you never critically assess them, u just accept them. you couldn’t explain why they go together without deferring to someone else. must be sad.

@idekeitherman @butleriano Lenin has directly written about a theoretical "United States of Europe" in 1915, where he concluded that it would be either impossible or reactionary, only united with the intent of competing with adversary imperialists like the US and Japan. Curious, isn't it?

@wuffspepstar @butleriano How is the EU imperialist. Please tell me. And not in some virtue signaling atrocities of the past type of way but regarding actual policies.

@idekeitherman @butleriano You aren't allowed to be an arrogant prick when you're making shit up. When have I denied that China and its geopolitical allies are imperialists? Of course they are—and so is the EU. The EU is nothing more than the uniting body between European national bourgeoisies.

@souljagoyteller While hitler did normalize the cranks, after Black Friday the Weimar Republic was done for anyways. It might not have been as antisemitic, but no matter who would have won, German democracy was due to be abolished by some extreme right winger.

@souljagoyteller Total bs. The French for all their faults were way more liberal than Germany in the late 1800s early 1900s and yet losing Alsace Lorraine caused extreme revisionism and indirectly dreyfus. Germany had the same thing happen x10 after ww1. Even streseman was revisionist.

One of the biggest historical misnomers that the average person believes is that the Treaty of Versailles directly caused Germans to vote for Hitler

@brazilianfker @VikVran U cant compare claustrophobic Tesco and sainsburys to normal European supermarkets tho. UK supermarkets just got run down heavily, go to any European city and visit a local supermarket and u don’t have the locked aisle, self checkout, security guard bs

A case study: A client comes to CitizenX ready to deploy ~$500k into whatever for permanent residency in Europe. He is Australian, so I naturally start looking into his ancestry. Find an Irish grandfather and in two months his application for Irish citizenship is submitted.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano u don’t even know what any of the words u use mean. Ur country is furthering imperialism much more than anything the EU does, as China and Russia use BRICS to further their exploitative deals with other countries. Accept u are a west = bad guy, don’t pretend it’s anything deeper.

@idekeitherman @butleriano I'm not a serious worshipper of the GDR and Brezhnevite Honecker, but let's not pretend that the modern German state is somehow an improvement when it's the second greatest western imperial core.

@wuffspepstar @butleriano imagine larping for dickless german technocrats who had their whole ideologically committed colleagues purged during nazism. But at least you don’t pretend to actually care about actual wellbeing and instead support ur imperialist client state like a sports team.

@KingRebo1 @nabulionee2 I mean while he wasn’t a shining example of aptitude, Russia was fucked no matter who was at the helm. U can’t keep up 15th century serfdom in a 20th century world and no regime keeping reforms were viable anyways.
