@Phantom_TheGame Not really, you wouldn't call a multiplayer shooter an adventure game, even tho players walk through 99% of the map . Exploration isn't just walking, it's walking with the purpose to find an objective.

@imraphz Exploration is almost synonymous with walking. If you can walk/move, and there is a world to explore, then it's adventure. This applies to nearly every game, which is why the adventure genre is too broad to mean anything.

Horror is a game genre and I will die on this hill. I've heard some arguments against it but none that in the slightest convince me.
One argument is "Horror is a theme, not a genre. It doesn't describe the gameplay, a horror game can be so many different things".

It still baffles me how "horror" is not a genre on Steam. That means your game has to fit in one of these genres regardless of how much sense that makes. We have a horror genre in movies and books, but not in video games? Horror isn't even considered a sub-genre by Steam.

Well okay then, but can you honestly say adventure is more descriptive? Any game with walking can basically be categorized as an adventure game, every game is an adventure.
