Interislander apologises, the Kaitaki 8.45am sailing Thursday 14th April is delayed. You will now depart at approximately 12.45pm. As this is approximate only we request that you be checked in by 11.30am. Vehicle check in will open at 9.30am.

Interislander no longer requires a vaccine pass or COVID test to travel, as of 6th April. Mask wearing is still required for all passengers and staff while in the terminal and on board, unless you are eating or drinking.

Off loaded from @interislander ferry this morning. Not able to get all vehicles on. Fabulous customer service, reimbursement and rebooking and VIP treatment for next ferry. Putting it right really does matter.

This requirement applies to all travellers aged 12 years, 3 months and up. Also, from 15 December, access to the terminals in Wellington and Picton will also be restricted to passengers travelling on the day. For full details please see our website: greatjourneysofnz.co.nz/interislander/…

When checking in from 15 December 2021, you will need to show either your New Zealand Government My Vaccine Pass or a negative Covid-19 test result, taken within 72 hours of your ship’s scheduled departure.

Proposed changes include a new wharf, an upgraded terminal building and well-designed surrounds for parking, people and the safe movement of vehicles. Protection for the Kaiwharawhara Stream and marine environment is a big part of the work.

Aratere will enter and exit Queen Charlotte Sound through the northern entrance. Hence, we expect the journey to take about 45 minutes longer than scheduled. We apologise for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to a mechanical issue, Aratere is required to take an alternative route and her journey will be longer than usual.
