@its_posterboy @JustTomiwa_ @appiecule Yo wtf are you talking about???😂the same golden boot Ronaldo has 4 Messi has 6 wtf...Ronaldo claimed that was hardwork so I guess nobody scored the goals for messi dumbass
English

I’m going to take my time with this one. If you’re busy, bookmark it and come back later.
Do you know the biggest problem with Cristiano Ronaldo? It isn’t that he never won the World Cup. It’s that he spent years telling everyone what separates legends, only to change the standards once he couldn’t reach them himself.
After winning Euro 2016, Ronaldo made it clear that winning a major international trophy was what completed a player’s legacy. At the time, Messi had just lost another international final and was going through the toughest period of his career. Those comments only added to the narrative that Messi could never be the greatest because he hadn’t won with Argentina. For years, that became the standard. Messi was called a bottler, while Ronaldo was praised as the player who had proved himself internationally.
Nobody wanted to hear about context. Nobody cared that Messi had dragged Argentina to a World Cup final in 2014 with a squad many considered weaker than the Portugal teams Ronaldo has had over the last decade. The only thing that mattered was that Ronaldo had won a major trophy with his country, and Messi hadn’t.
Then Messi won the Copa América. Suddenly, the goalposts moved. We were told one Euro was worth more than multiple Copa América titles because South America supposedly wasn’t competitive enough. That became the new excuse.
Then Messi won the World Cup. The excuses changed again. It was “fixed.” It was “scripted.” Then came, “A career can’t be defined by seven games.” Funny how nobody was saying that before the tournament, when many believed it would finally be Ronaldo’s chance to win it.
Now Portugal have been eliminated from the World Cup, and Ronaldo posts about Euro 2016 again. That’s what I find ironic. When international trophies favored Ronaldo, they were the ultimate measure of greatness. When Messi caught up, people started ranking competitions differently. When Messi surpassed him by winning the biggest trophy in football, suddenly the World Cup wasn’t supposed to define a career anymore.
That’s the contradiction.
The difference between Messi and Ronaldo was never just about goals, assists, or trophies. It’s about consistency. Messi never needed to diminish Ronaldo’s achievements to elevate his own, nor did he ask football to change its standards because they no longer favored him. He simply kept playing until he won everything there was to win.
League titles. Champions Leagues. Ballons d’Or. Golden Boots. Copa América. Finalissima. World Cup. Every major trophy that was ever used against him eventually became part of his legacy.
Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of the greatest footballers to ever play the game. But this is exactly why I believe Messi is the greatest. He didn’t ask football to rewrite the standards.
He met every single one of them.

@JustTomiwa_ @appiecule cuz the european golden shoe doesn't include the ucl goals dumbass, the iffhs goal scorer does include that and guess what, messi won none and ronaldo won 5 so yes, ronaldo will always be better
English

@appiecule He even said the Golden boot wasn’t by votes but by hard work and then Messi went on to winning 6 😂😂
English

@prevails_logic @NoodleHairCR7 thought we were talking abt pens and u send pictures which r completely unrelated to pens and if messi is the only one to win all those, ronaldo also has many such records such as the only one to 3 peat the prem and ucl and the only one to win all individiual awards in 1 season
English

@prevails_logic @NoodleHairCR7 lamest way to score a goal, looks like ur goat won the wc with pens (few of them undeserved like against poland and the one against france but keep being blind) and he also missed half of them 😭😂😂
English

@its_posterboy @NoodleHairCR7 Other players create pens , you just take Pen and it counts as your goal which is the lamest way to get a goal. Yes pens are worthless metric to look at how a player performs on field. Anyways bring your WC trophy then we'll talk. Oh sorry you'll just make excuse for your Goat

Messi has been disgracing football his entire career, and you are all too scared to admit it:
> Barcelona Negreira case: 18 years (2001-2018) of alleged payments from Barcelona's president to the Spanish referee association... drawing almost every title that Messi has won with Barcelona into disrepute... (this case is ongoing)
> Messi is essentially the only player in football history to use human growth hormones during years of critical physical development...
> Messi and his father were convicted of tax fraud between 2007 and 2009... defrauding the Spanish government out of millions.
> Messi stole the Ballon d'Or off Haaland, Lewandowski, Sneijder, and Van Dijk. Particularly the Haaland and Lewandowski claims are shocking... Messi was miles behind in those campaigns. If Messi had even an ounce of integrity he would've handed the trophy to these players at the ceremony.
> The scandal at Stamford Bridge... go watch the 2009 UCL semi final against Chelsea again... try and tell me that wasn't rigged. The referee himself even claimed he 'had a very bad day'. Seems that every referee has a 'bad day' when Messi is on the pitch.
> They literally changed the frequency of Copa America's until Messi won one of them... then suddenly... changed it back... ridiculous...
> 2022 World Cup: a record 5 penalties awarded to Argentina. The Netherlands game is possibly the biggest scandal I've ever seen in world football. Messi's handball, Paredes booting the ball into the Dutch bench and not receiving a red??? Go watch that game again and tell me otherwise. Impossible. The most fraudulent trophy win of all time.
> 2026 World Cup: Argentina put on the easiest side of the draw, the only nation EVER to not face a top 15 side up until the semis. No red card against Algeria. The Cape Verde controversy... Messi taking the free kick before the wall was set and the keeper was in position. All the while, the entire world is still seething about the Egypt game. Salah's penalty claim, the disallowed goal... nothing but corruption.
> Why does Infantino, the president of FIFA, claim he 'suffers with Argentina'... you are the president... how on earth are you not remaining impartial? Scandalous. It reeks of favouritism.
> Not to mention he moved to PSG, stunk it out and retreated to USA of all places... enter 'Inter' Miami... the most plastic and manufactured club that has ever existed. Upon his arrival, Inter Miami suddenly and disproportionately hoard old European talent and walk the league. The competition in the MLS has suffered for it. How they even pulled these signings off from a financial fair play perspective is shocking. They somehow even got invited to the Club World Cup. The rules were literally changed to allow them in. Speechless. Beckham is complicit in this nonsense. His reputation should suffer for it imo.
All of you football media gimps suck him off... claiming he’s an ‘alien’, he’s ‘not from this planet’… genuinely shut up. It’s embarrassing and cringe. Twitter is infested with pro Messi content... it's disingenous, cherry-picking nonsense. This rhetoric that he's a small humble little boy from the streets of Argentina is nauseating.
Messi has made a mockery of football. And the world applauded him for it.

English

@ManuMar16631411 @mbafraaude how does it feel when Messi is the face of corruption and controversies
English

@mbafraaude Y que se siente saber que Cristiano jamás en su vida levantará la copa del mundo?
Español

@prevails_logic @NoodleHairCR7 so pens aren't goals now? 😂😂😂 and u say him being benched in euro final shows ur ball knowledge, he was injured not benched, there's a difference and dont try to talk abt mvp in finals, messi played 7 international finals and contributed in only 1 final and lost 4 finals
English

@its_posterboy @NoodleHairCR7 He takes most pens and that's why he has most goals Otherwise non penalty goals Messi has the most. Cr7 has never won Mvp in any international competition btw including Euro final where he was benched.
Messi is the most decorated player of all time

English

@keshav_gupta20 @iamlovingit07 @NoodleHairCR7 looks like bro had to change topic when he was losing the ucl argument 😂😂😂
English

@its_posterboy @iamlovingit07 @NoodleHairCR7 If you really are that Salty about Messi getting more pens, let's talk about who has the most Non Penalty Goals despite messi playing around 200 less games. Also lets chip in their head to head record?😂😂😂. But yeah keep crying about your "rigged" conspiracy it's really funny😂
English

Messi PR is insane man it took Messi 6 World Cups and 8 penalties to do what Mbappe is doing in his 3rd World Cup without any help from FIFA and the refs
ESPN FC@ESPNFC
Two of the greatest World Cup players of all time. The two are tied for most World Cup KO stage goal contributions in the last 60 years (14). Don't take this for granted.
English

@prevails_logic @NoodleHairCR7 Literally said "wc" "ucl" and "international football" and "main penalty taker"
English

@prevails_logic @Petchiamma2609 @NoodleHairCR7 so? didn't messi score a pen against france in that brace also, and stop acting as he doesn't score pens, ur right, he misses most of them 😂😂😂
English

@its_posterboy @Petchiamma2609 @NoodleHairCR7 Counting 2018 now 😭😭 You guys are down bad , just proved my point that he's not been good since last 8 years . He also scored pen in that hattrick btw 😭 While Messi scored 2 goals in final 2022 vs france. Ronaldo has just one goal in KO which is also a pen 😭😭
English

@keshav_gupta20 @iamlovingit07 @NoodleHairCR7 "half the legacy" and ur talking abt one offside goal in the 6-3 win of bayern, remove that and they still win 5-3, FUN FACT ronaldo recieved less pens in those 3 ucl campaigns combined than messi in just the 2022 wc campaign 😂😂
English

@VexGoal @CrewsMat10 ig u pessi fans r sleeping really well after knowing that ur being supported by infantino and the refs every match 😂🥀
English

@its_posterboy @CrewsMat10 If that makes you and the rest of pendu fans sleep at night, sure 🤣
English

He absolutely meant it when he said the Euros holds the same weight as the World Cup. 😭😭

English

@BMT_4L @Janusz70593636 @Fawaz9NSR @Bri_an2 or maybe im just stating facts, james had 6 goals and 2 assists and muller had 5 goals and 3 assists and even won the wc, but sure let's gift the golden ball to messi for scoring against bosnia, iran and egypt and contributing 0 g/a in knockouts and ghosting the final😂😂😂
English

So Lamine surpassed your international legacy at 16?
Cristiano Ronaldo@Cristiano
Uma vitória de milhões!
English

@lipakarex @Bri_an2 and then fifa organized 4 copa americas in 6 years but u wouldn't talk abt that cuz it's not ronaldo, and dont even talk abt fifa rankings, ur acting as if messi faced a single top 20 opponent this wc, and still barely manages to win against egypt and cape verde without robbing😂
English

@its_posterboy @Bri_an2 Ronaldo ghosted a Euros final vs fucking Greece farmers with a golden gen of Portugal, then went on to not score vs a top 25 team in the whole Euro 2016 and get as many mvps as a 18 year old… then he won 2 friendly trophies organised by uefa to fill the space after the wc and eu
English

@lipakarex @Bri_an2 meanwhile messi has absolutely 0 g/a against brazil in competitive matches after playing against each other's for over 20 years but sure, and also ghosted against chile in 2 copa america finals and also missed a pen 😂😂 and ghosted against good teams in wc 2014 but sure 😂😂
English

@underfitalien @CoachVoeJoe @Amansnioll @Bri_an2 it probably was one of the worst? it drew all 3 matches in the group stage and only won once in 90 mins the whole tournament, which basically shows how bad the team was and ronaldo still managed to have 3 goals and 3 assists in this ass team and won the silver boot
English

@its_posterboy @CoachVoeJoe @Amansnioll @Bri_an2 I’m not saying Portugal was a good team. But you’re making it sound like it was the worst team of the tournament.
English

@underfitalien @CoachVoeJoe @Amansnioll @Bri_an2 remind me who did messi lose against twice in the copas? 😂😂
English

@its_posterboy @CoachVoeJoe @Amansnioll @Bri_an2 Wales Poland Croatia Hungary Austria Iceland in 2016. Super teams 🥵
English

@Janusz70593636 @Fawaz9NSR @Bri_an2 dont u dare try to bring up the 2014 golden ball, it was either muller or james who was supposed to win it not messi, messi had absolutely 0 g/a in the whole knockouts and lost thr final too and he didn't play against teams from top 20 in grp stages
English
