[💌🇨🇳✨️] I came across this Xiaohongshu (Red Note) post from last year and thought it was an interesting throwback to share. The OP was discussing Gehlee's photocards on Qiandao (千岛), a Chinese collectibles platform where many C-fans buy, sell, trade, and track photocard demand. Op captioned: "应该是刚出道的六代女团了，菲律宾籍挺有特色的一张脸呀，可以买股一下" Rough translation: "She's probably from one of the newer 5th-generation girl groups. As Filipina, she has a very distinctive face. She's someone worth keeping an eye on." The phrase "可以买股一下" ("buy stock in") is a fandom expression used when fans see potential in an idol and believe they have room to grow. Looking back, I think it's nice to see how fans from different countries were already noticing Gehlee's unique charm and potential early on.
