Here are the real reasons he won't step down: Annual Salary: $320,000 Car allowance: $2k per month Lives at Stornoway rent free (with housekeeping / baby sitters etc.) Expenses for the 2023-2024 fiscal year: $1,470,000 - which includes over $500,000 for travel. The question isn't why should he step down, the question is why WOULD he? Worst ROI in Canadian political history.

Jon Ossoff voted to block weapons sales to Israel despite facing potentially well over $100 million in attack ads including from Israeli citizen Miriam Adelson, a GOP donor. The man stands on principle and that’s why he’s the quintessential anti-Trump.

@MatrixMysteries Healthcare is Provincial Government jurisdiction in Canada. Ask what province she’s from and then blame her Premier. She’s probably from Alberta or Ontario where both Conservative Premiers are destroying healthcare in their respective provinces. Facts matter. It’s not federal.

BREAKING: Trump punishes Pope Leo for criticizing his Iran War by stripping $11 million from Catholic Charities in Florida that was supposed to help shelter and care for children who enter the country alone. Trump is terrorizing kids in America while killing them overseas... “The U.S. government has abruptly decided to end more than 60 years of relationship with Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Miami,” said Archbishop Thomas Wenski. “The Archdiocese of Miami’s services for unaccompanied minors have been recognized for their excellence and have served as a model for other agencies throughout the country.” "Our track record in serving this vulnerable population is unmatched. Yet, the Archdiocese of Miami’s Catholic Charities’ services for unaccompanied minors has been stripped of funding and will be forced to shut down within three months," he added. The Department of Homeland Security, through its Office of Refugee Resettlement, has paid Catholic Charities in Miami for years to help house children who enter the country without accompanying adults. The Miami Herald describes the program as essentially a "federally funded foster care system." Bishop Wenski said that despite there being a recent decrease in unaccompanied minors “it is baffling that the U.S. government would shut down a program that it would be hard-pressed to replicate at the level of competence." Robert Latham, associate director of the University of Miami Law School’s Children and Youth Law Clinic, said that the gutting of funding and possible need to move the children elsewhere could inflict serious damage on their developing psyches. "It’s incredibly psychologically harmful to be moved,” he said. “For little kids, moving repeatedly creates bonding issues and destroys the sense of both self and community. They don’t know who they are and where they will be." “This should only be done with a lot of emotional support that you normally would find within a family. Unfortunately, that is not there in a group home setting,” Latham added. Of course, Donald Trump couldn't care less about the suffering of children. This man was friends with Jeffrey Epstein for years and been accused of sexual abuse himself. He started his Iran War by blowing up a school full of little girls and his administration has worked around the clock to strip funding from programs that feed, educate, and house children. While the administration has not admitted that these funding cuts are payback against Pope Leo, the point A to point B is apparent. Trump is the most vindictive man to ever hold the presidency. He has been relentlessly attacking Leo for criticizing his Iran War. This is him using financial leverage in an effort to beat the Pope into submission. It will not work. Please ❤️ and share to demand that the funding be doubled when Democrats take back control!

Doug is currently literally bankrupting Ontario. There is no blaming the previous government for anything. No one remains from them and you’ve been in power for 8 years, Doug. This is all you.
Colin D'Mello | Global News@ColinDMello

As Premier Doug Ford was asked about the OSAP changes, he thundered back, calling the Ontario Liberals a "bunch of amateurs" who would bankrupt a lemonade stand. Note: Under Ford, Ontario's debt will grow to half-a-trillion and the budget has yet to be balanced. #onpoli

Nothing to see here Just Israel blowing up civilian homes in Ainata — a centuries-old village in South Lebanon Another historic piece of Lebanon wiped out before the eyes of the world Pure terror. Pure destruction And yet, no global outrage. No condemnation. No accountability

NEW: The Ford government takes over two more school boards, bringing the total to eight. The education minister says “both Peel & York Catholic are facing serious challenges they cannot resolve on their own.” Of note: the new supervisors have no background in education.

Doug Ford doesn’t want another Robyn Doolittle moment: Doug Ford watched his brother Rob get absolutely torched by one relentless investigative reporter, Robyn Doolittle at the Toronto Star. She caught the mayor lying about crack cocaine, and it nearly destroyed the whole family. Now look at what’s happening: Tina Yazdani, one of the only Queen’s Park reporters who actually grilled this government, gets fired by CityNews. Two of her toughest Ford stories? Quietly scrubbed from the website. And right on cue, Doug’s rushing through changes to bury his own phone records and exempt his office from Freedom of Information retroactively. He learned exactly what happens when a good journalist gets too close to the truth. He doesn’t want to live through it again. This isn’t about modernizing anything. This is a Premier trying to make sure nobody ever exposes him the way his brother got exposed. @CityNewsTO @fordnation

@daviddoel @TinaYazdani @CityNewsTO Is it possible .@TinaYazdani was vanished because she was getting to close to the truth? She was improving each day & was so near the top of her game, not afraid to ask the hard questions no other reporter dared to ask. Thank u Tina!👏ps Ask @MaritStiles about #Tarion! Big Story!

A female journalist challenges Doug Ford. Asks tough questions. Does her job. And then she’s gone. We don’t have all the details yet. But when reporting holds political leaders accountable, and the fallout lands on the journalist instead of the people in power… people are going to ask questions. Because this isn’t happening in a vacuum. Women in journalism are already: Targeted more. Doubted more. Attacked more. So when one of them disappears right as things get uncomfortable you don’t get to tell the public not to question it. No one is above scrutiny. Not journalists. And not politicians either. If everything is above board, transparency shouldn’t be a problem. @CityNewsTO @fordnation
Tina Yazdani@TinaYazdani

I am no longer employed by CityNews. I am proud of my journalism at CityNews and I stand by my reporting. I will have more to say on this later but for now please stay tuned and thank you for those who have supported me.

Poilievre still blaming “backroom deals,” for the LPC majority. As if he didn’t get his own seat through a backroom deal after losing in the election. Shocking lack of self reflection from a leader who lost 4 members of his caucus, and a party that’s lost 4 elections in a row.

This is insane. One of Ontario's best reporters @TinaYazdani was fired from @CityNewsTO and they won't say why. They also removed a couple of her stories that showed her challenging the Ford government's garbage.

NEW: CityNews has cut ties with Queen’s Park reporter Tina Yazdani, @policornerca has learned, while at least two of her stories about the Ford government have quietly vanished from the web without explanation. policorner.ca/p/scoop-the-fi…
